For Neopets ONLY discussion.

Well, just for kicks, I just tried creating my own adventure too just in case it's perhaps a problem with the Adventure Generator, which I'm starting to believe it is. I'm going to do some searching on the Neoboards... wish me luck!

You know what? I think Neopets are trying to be a pain in the aft with you because they are jealous of your writing. I didn't see any problem with that part of your aaarticle (thing xD).

Yes... TNT is jealous of my writing.

*Feeds Primus some Ramen for the compliment anyway* No, for some reason, I
don't think that's the problem.
So May, how are things going over at the boards?

I believe the problem is the second paragrah-third paragraph section. Take out "no, sir!" and see if that works.

I already put the entire thing through editing piece by piece, and so I didn't expect it to work... Surprise! It didn't. *headdeskheaddeskheaddesk* Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Thanks for trying, though.

Try removing all exclamation marks?

Only response from the Neoboards is to try changing one word at a time for the entire entry until you find the trouble spot :/

I tried deleting one word at a time from the beginning and here was when I was able to successfully submit it:
only had one pet, but he was very proud of it: a yellow Poogle named Toni!
Now you may be thinking, "What's so special about a yellow Poogle?" and Martin was often asked the same question, to which he would happily respond: "This Poogle was born on Poogle day! And as you know, Poogles can only be born on Poogle day. Not everyone can say they have one, no sir!"
To which people would roll their eyes and move on, leaving Martin and Toni happy as happy as they were.
So something before this point must be deemed inappropriate? Also, I was able to successfully submit everything before the above quote and it worked, so some combination of the phrases must be setting it off

Indeed it's got to be the combination as I was able to submit
Once upon a time, in Neopia Lane 146655, there was a little boy called Martin. Martin only had one pet
just fine. I'll be trying combinations.

These filters are just ridiculous. Sometimes I feel they are too strict, but other times they are not strict enough. People can still post "hell" and "damn" on the boards even though the words were banned long ago, yet we can't post completely appropriate things on the Adventure Generator or petpages?

Needless to say, seconded. Oh, and I tried posting 'Poogle' six times in a row (maybe too much repetition?) - that got through as well.

Next they'll be banning anagrams...

pardona_ii wrote:Thanks for the tip. I really thought that would do it, as it's simply common sense. What is the end result? Each sentence or piece of sentence, from the apostrophes and colons to the 'as' and the numbers, all work just fine on their own. Put it together, though...
Your page contained one or more ...
Then that probably means the problem lies in one of the areas where you connect sentences and/or clauses. So...start putting pairs in? Like, the first two sentences/clauses, etc. to see if something hits. Could also try changing first/last words in sentences, but I'd do that as a last resort.

For all those looking to create an Adventure in the future: I think I finally located the problem. Apparently the program doesn't like doesn't/what's/isn't, and so on. You have to type does not/what is/is not/... Thought this may be helpful for those ooking to create an Adventure in the future.
