It's been a while since the last new Neopian Country came out...there have been a couple plots where it seemed they were going to release a new one and it never happened.

How long do you think it will be before a new one is released and what do you think or want for it to be?

I would, personally, like to see Lutari Island released to the public, but that's probably not going to happen (at least not for a long long long time, if ever).

I won´t be surprised if it releases with the next plot. As to it´s theme? No idea. I´m not creative enough!

Maybe a Steampunk world? Can't really think of any other well known genres that aren't already represented in some way.

Well, there aren't any South American or African-type cultures represented on Neopia. But I'm not really sure how they would do that...

I was just thinking about this last night, and there's already a bunch of cultures represented...so what would they have room for. Then at about 1 AM, which is when I get most of my best ideas because my muse is cruel, a thought occured to me.

You know that large icy mass around Neopia's south pole? I thought it might be awesome if there was a Viking/Norse-like country there. And we could fight frost giants and such.

Though we'd all be borked beyond hope if Ragnarok ever really happened.

Oooh I like the idea of a viking/norse area. South American and African areas would be interesting as well. Mostly I'm just looking forward to the next new area. I enjoy exploring and seeing what Neo does with the new areas.

I'm looking forward to the plot that will (hopefully) go with it. Maybe we will revisit the lost isle. Who knows?

The problem with a steampunk world is that it might be hard to give Steampunk World a completely distinct style that didn't feel like a larger Neovia. It's still possible, just...hard.

I think the next world will be Bogshot village. I think it will be a continuation of the Sophie Tale of Woe story or maybe a new story completely. I really like swamps. I don't know, some people might say they are dreary but some swamps are full of abundant life, many plants and birds...and of course..Krawks.

Well, Bogshot village is built on stilts I think, and it is sort of backwoods place where people hunt, trap, and fish. It is probably a good hideout for thieves and outlaws too..or anyone just wanting to get lost and stay lost..or out of public view.

What little we know about the place is that something is making the villagers sick. According to a card the only cure is some kind of nasty bogberry that looks like it is covered in mud.

And that is about all we know so far. Maybe they will never release this land, and it will only exist on the trading card, old magazines and our imaginations.


And of course, I still want Beneathia. I mean...something has to exist under the ground!
I figure a few hundred robot Symols and we could drill down there and take a look.

Given that it took around 5 years between the release of Meridell and the release of Altador (what I would consider the next "world" as Brightvale originally was just an extension of Meridell that got built upon and Kreludor has next to nothing in it), I wouldn't be too hopeful for a new world anytime soon.

That said, a Norse area would be awesome.

Actually, it was four years, and then Shenkuu was released the same year that Altador was. Neopets seems to introduce most new worlds via plots these days, but the last few plots haven't introduced any major worlds. That doesn't mean the next one won't.

One thing's for sure, it won't be until after the Altador cup is over and probably not for a while after that.

I'm actually not in a big hurry to see a new country yet. Actually, I'd prefer it if some of the more neglected areas, such as Kreludor, were given more good content first. Something besides yet another freebie or wheel, if possible (though those are nice, don't get me wrong). For example, now that we have clothing as an option, I'd like to see a jewelry store open somewhere. That would be interesting, tie in with a new feature they're trying to promote, and would probably help ease the inflation of some Uni's Clothing items and even some paintbrushes (Pirate, Island) that I suspect are being used JUST to get the trinkets from them, in some cases. Plus it might get more people interested in "dressing" up their pets - maybe they don't want to go so far as put an entire dress on one, but wouldn't mind a collar, or pendant, or earrings. Just something simple, enough to make their pet unique. Not to mention it would probably be easier on the artists.

Also now that I'm older and working full time, I don't really need or want a constant stream of plots and/or events to keep me interested. Kind of enjoy the down time, sometimes.

If there is a new world in the works, that's great! There's no problem with that. I'm just saying, I'd like for it to be interesting and actually have some stuff to DO once you're there. And if that takes time, so be it.

jewelry and odd doodads would be great- and maybe these can also go on the non-standard pets (Maraqan, Mutant, Baby, Fruit/Veg) since earrings and necklaces are less work. A "tattoo parlor" would be nice too, maybe in Krawk Island or Shenkuu? They should definitely do this one! More content in the worlds is always nice.

Kreludor, Shenkuu, and Altador need some love (and Faerieland badly needs a redraw, too), but after that...

Yes on the Viking World! There could be sea battles with Krawk Islanders, and it would be awesome.

A Wild West area would be cool, too. We already have ninjas, pirates, zombies, and robots. Therefore, the next logical step is kauboys.
