My darn computer died when my mom downloaded something from work. I have no internet and I've resulted to my moms laptop and I miss FireFox.

We had an ice storm last night. There is ice on the ground--and on my street, which is right off a major road and hasn't been salted. It was still sleeting when we left. There is a quarter-inch to half-inch of ice in some places, and it's mixed with snow. Multiple parking lots of the university(we're on its campus because we used to be part of the university) have not been salted. The one directly in front of the campus has, but the slush and snow was not removed, so cars are pushing it around and it's ankle-deep in many places. The county's public schools were canceled last night because the weather was bad and only going to get worse. We have people who come to school from surrounding towns, and I know many of those roads were no better than my street. So why are classes not canceled?
Pickles wrote:Irate. :x This is the 4th day in a row that one of my coworkers has come to work sick. Thursday and Friday of last week, she had a hacking cough and couldn't talk (now, why would you bother showing up to work if you can't talk and you work in a call center?) then yesterday and today, she's here with the nastiest runny nose in the world, and keeps snorting and sniffling and ugh. It's gross. Between her and my other coworker who refuses to see doctors or take medicine, but comes into work and infects the rest of us, it's no wonder I keep getting sick. I mean, seriously. If you're sick, stay home. I do, even if I don't have enough sick hours and end up making the time up (which is happening more frequently now, as these jerks keep showing up sick and getting me sick).

Yeah...that happened on my campus at one point last month. It was ridiculous.

I'm feeling relaxed for the first time in a long time. I got to clean my home yesterday and that was fun and I'll be done with classes at 12:30 today thanks to no more job. AND I get to a cookie decorating party tonight :D

Better than yesterday :)

I finally confessed to my mother that I don't think I like my profession. Her response was "That's not good." Hmm...Thanks for the advice Mom o_O

Happy for all of my friends who have birthdays today

Absolutely thrilled :) I got flowers delivered to me from my boyfriend (who's in another state) for Valentine's Day - I wasn't expecting anything at all, which made it even more amazing. I've had a bad few days lately with my workload (finally got my textbooks today *hiss*), so it more than made up for it.

Quite funny though.

Lauren: Do you like your flowers?
Me: ....I got flowers?
Lauren: Oops. I take it you haven't been to your room yet...

Good. I'm in Spanish class and I just logged on for th heck of it.

I'm a bit stressed because of the three tests I still need to make up from my week long leave of absence due to my surgery.

kind of sad and my back aches, but also pretty good because I had an unexpectedly fun Friday night with people I don't know from where I work (except the boss, who I know, and who was very drunk and funny) and I left that evening feeling liked.

Very and pleasantly surprised, ecstatic even.
Something I was going to order is, in fact, in stock, so I don't need to order it and hope the 1-4 months shipping is the early half (so it arrives before this semester ends in two months). I shall be going shopping tomorrow.

Really, really, tired. I was up at like 1am talking to my friend in his room, and his roommate decided to collapse, pass out, and start fitting on us.

Cue a hospital visit, being pumped with coffee, not getting back to campus until 5am, and not getting to sleep until like 6am. I skipped my class at 8am becuase I was that exhausted, and I've been exhausted all day.

Oh, and a "good friend" is spreading rumours about me. Again. The same ones as last year. Seriously, if you're going to spread crap about me, at least make up a new one.
