Looks folks, love me or hate me, I gotta express this.

I've seen PPT from the prespective of a member, a mod, and then a member again.

And frankly, I dont like the direction the forum is moving.

You can revamp, change things and fancy it up all you want but when there are so many glareing issues it doesnt make a difference.

First, if you want to change something, put it to a vote. People have opinions and its better to get those first and then figure out where to go from there. You are not the only person on this forum. And you espically need to listen to your staff. This site will fail if everyone cannot work together.

Second, staff need to be active. That doesnt mean just making sure the rules stick. They need to actively participate and be excited about the forums. Who wants to be apart of something when the people that work for it dont care? If the staff think its ok to take a year long vacation without telling anyone, then they deserve to lose their job. Yes, I know I left, but atleast I told the right people I was leaving so a replacement could be chosen. Being a mod or admin means having a responsibility to the forums. And if you can no longer do your job, then give it to someone who can. It also means that members should look at the mod list and ask "who is this person" because they havent posted or participated in a long time. That is NOT acceptable.

And finally, if the staff care, the members will care. If the members are happy then the site will grow. No one wants to be a part of something thats such a downer. I dont want to see PPT go under. Its been a part of my life for a very long time. But I also dont want to see the site continue on the way it is right now.

Like I said, you may agree with me, or you may not. But I feel like these are things that need to be said.

I agree with you, Ducky ^^ The name changes have made the boards lose their touch, and yeah, basically everything you said.

Ducky has a point. There's few mods that I see regularly any more.

Aye, well said Ducky. I've been around here, gone and back again, for years now, and this is the quietest i have ever seen the forums, even in the middle of a plot. I miss the old PPT

Just as a FYI, there is currently a very lengthy discussion (essay length posts) going on in one of the staff boards about this... and not just name changes! Everything about PPT.

As always, member comments/opinions/advice are always welcome. We wouldn't be what we are without you and it's always good to have new ideas brought forth.

Ducky-excellent post! There are quite a few mods who haven't shown their faces in a while (anyone remember Fiddleysquat?), and I really wish they would at least try to pop in every now and again.
