Well, on multiple occasions I've misspoken when referring to people whose names start with A...

"I mean, we've done the jumping-out-of-hiding thing for everyone else in the class, do they really expect Anakin to be surprised?"
"You mean Aaron?"

A way more embarrassing one was when I actually let a girl tell a guy I had a crush on him. >_< (I mean, most of my crushes have ended up finding out, but this case was significantly more embarrassing, for who-knows-what reason.)

I'm not much of a klutz though, so I don't think I have any of those.

@ Shapu: I always worry that I'll break my ankle when I get up with my foot asleep, because I can't feel the ground and I may very well be putting it down at a bad angle. I figured it must have happened to someone, somewhere. So thanks for the proof.

Anytime. I'm happy to break all the bones in the world if it helps people learn all the various ways you can break a bone.

I fell up the stairs today. And called a duck a rabbit

I once called a rabbit a duck, so you were just trying to correct my mistake, I suppose.

When we were in Poland, a friend of mine called pigeons penguins. And commented that Polish people dressed very Polishy.

Today I was constantly doing stupid things at work, but I don't think any of them make for good stories, really.

I bet it's a subconscious reaction to that optical illusion. Have either of you seen it recently? Might have been that.

Well when I called the rabbit a duck I had not seen any sort of water fowl for quite a long time, but there were rabbits all around me...?

Sometimes I have this (probably quite common) trait of not being able to stop laughing once I've started. All is good as long as I keep quiet after a funny moment, but as soon as I start to speak, I just crack up again and really have difficulty to get myself together. And it's really embarrassing:

Once my quite respected art professor called me at home, regarding some important issues we had discussed earlier. Well, I had had a laugh with my sister right before he called, and as I answered, I literally didn't even manage to say "Hello" before I just totally, hysterically cracked up right there on the phone. And I couldn't stop. After some 45 seconds or so I just had to hang up, as I weren't able to utter any (coherent) words.

So I guess that is the stupidest (and most embarrassing) thing I've ever done

That reminds me of the "Darth God" incident in ninth grade. I have no short and simple description, but it involved me trying to speak and instead ending up in uncontrollable hysterical laughter for about ten minutes while up in front of the class, and we were doing a skit, so everyone was staring at me, waiting for me to be able to get the line out. Oh boy. At least I didn't fall off the table I was standing on!

You think that's bad? Last year I broke into spontaneous laughter at a piano recital FOR NO REASON and couldn't stop for the life of me. Fortunately, my piano teacher understood and I didn't get in trouble. Until my mom got a hold of me.

lol That reminds of something from school. I can't remember why exactly we were doing it, but we were saying opposites. I thought of one and raised my hand. When the teacher called on me, I smiled and confidently said . . .

"Jason is a girl and Liana is a boy."

Everyone started laughing. lol I didn't even realise what was so funny and why they were looking shocked at me until someone repeated what I had said. XD The two friends mentioned were not as amused as everyone else. ha!

Zomg! Coversation at school:
"Hey Helena, you seen Keiran anywhere?"
"She's probably hanging with Dennis by the staircase, as usual, because those girls are mental. "
"Eh?"
"What? Oh... "

Welll...the only thing I can think of is one time we were going to Mauldin (which is a city near me) to eat, and the traffic there is always bad because of the school letting out because the main road to Mauldin is only two lanes.
Well, I ended up making the statement (on a Sunday) that I hoped we wouldn't get mixed up in the school traffic.

I'm stupid like that. XD

Helen was telling this story once before and I did not understand that by bush she meant a bush. I thought it was one of those strange nicknames British people have for things, like a police officer or a maintenance man or something. Everyone laughed.
