After I made that, a few pages in, I received this neomail:

"hey, my names stephanie.. i quit playing neopets last year because i actually got a life and didnt have time! i used to be obsessed though and i have a few things that are worth more now then they used to be.. paint brushes and items in my shop/sdb that i have no use for anymore. i noticed you giving things away on the boards, that was really sweet! im kinda looking for people doing random acts of kindness to give my stuff away to. is there anything you want in particular? can i send you a couple things?"

I checked her shop. She had paintbrushes of all kinds, plushies worth millions, items so rare I hadn't even SEEN some before. I was so choked up that someone would just come out of the blue and do this. She sent me a PLUSHIE PAINT BRUSH. I was just in complete shock.

I just thought I'd share this story and give others a chance to share their good karma stories. I'm so touched. I'm still reeling over this!

EDIT: She has just sent me a Faerie Spyder and a Faerie Easter Negg!

Wow. Most Neopians that are that rich usually want to keep all of their loot to themselves. It's good to know that there are still people out there who are willing to give advice, help, and gifts to other people.

I'm seriously so touched by this. I don't know what to say other than that.

What a cool thing to do!! It's always so nice to hear about random acts of kindness happening on the site. A couple years ago at Christmas, someone (who I suspected was a monitor for various reasons) sent me a Christmas Paintbrush out of the blue. He said he was sending it because he liked the way I treated people, especially newcomers, on the message boards. It really made my night!!

It's incredibly rare to find someone so nice, Fidds. And Yeah--Im talking about you. Really does show that good things happen to people who do good things. It's allways nice to meet a kind soul on Neopets. We need more of them.

Well, you did a good deed and got a very nice reward.

OK, Fidds, I really hate to burst your bubble because I think it is wonderful that you did something like this--but I have to give you fair warning. My daughter's account was frozen last December because she, like yourself, wanted to help people in need and "grant wishes."

You might not know, but at the tender age of 11, she is quite the savvy player (ask her how many sinis swords she has). She is a PPT member but would kill me if I gave out her name because she wants no one to think of her as a little kid. And, trust me, she is no "little kid"-- she may be only 11 but she has a very old "soul."

In December, she had made a killing buying and selling those white onas that the advent calendar gave out, and, because of her "wealth," wanted to help people "in need" by granting Christmas wishes. No strings attached. And someone, who was very jealous of the fact that she was being so nice, reported her for scamming. I got her account back one day after I wrote Neopets about it--and the person who reported her was frozen for filing too many false reports. But, I would hate for the same fate to happen to you--you are too nice. So, just be careful when you are spreading your good cheer. Unfortunately, there are mean-spirited people out there who just love to hurt kind-hearted souls.

I've been playing for over 3 years now, and its still amazing to me how many nice players there are out there.

Best thing I was ever given was a Faerie Paint Brush, and that's back when they were only acquired from random events.

I give away things from time to time, but I don't play as much as I'd like and can't get rare items from shops, so I tend to give away things like food, books, gardening items, and furniture. Usually, its stuff that's common in shops, but I figure that if it makes the person I give it to happy, it doesn't matter.

Last time I gave away anything expensive (ie, the last time I could afford to), it was a Halloween Paint Brush, and the person I gave it to painted an Ixi with it.

But I stay away from the chat boards, because I had a bad experience there once (Got frozen because a word I used got flagged, and no one checked to see what context it was used in (I was trying to warn people that the Auctions were bugged), and the Neomonitor I managed to get to talk to me (logged in an alternate account) ended up getting reported by me for having an attitude after she unfroze my account (she called me a liar and wouldn't listen when I tried to explain what happened).

I only use the chatboard to do trades, and don't get social anymore because of it.

By the way..I was looking at your pets..and saw your Wuzzer was called Bobbert. Thats hilarious beause I call my dad Bobbert!
