Get Flint, from the announcements, and Balm, from the plot:
Quote:
Doc is applying a balm to Colonel Johnson’s wounds while he is debriefed.

The Guard Armor is prodded by Takamachi Nanoha for -3 damage.

*cry* Meany Christopher took what could have been Nanoha's first kill. Sorry, but the Guard Armor still dies once it is at 0 or less. I'll move the hit to Sonic unless you want otherwise and write the scene for the GA's defeat that I was planning for later.

Samus' missile causes the Guard Armor to explode. In the blast, a tomato flies out and hits Samus in the face. She wipes off the residue and puts it in one of her reserve energy tanks since she really doesn't need the extra HP.

How could it have been her first kill? It would still be on 2hp.

Again, refer back to the extra scene. I'll direct it at Samus since she has HP to spare.

And Christopher, it would have been hers in principle. Although, the more I think about it, the more I realize that she wouldn't want to kill it, but to reason with it and make it become her friend. ... Crazy kid.

Round 36

SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat. If you need additional help, I am here most of the time and more than willing to try to help as much as possible.
Also, if you don’t play and just watch, feel free to comment on the action or the plot or anything else. Doing so is as highly encouraged as actually playing.

- Koopa is always naked! pic from just take a guess

Story as of now:
Since no one made a play for a Pokeball, the GM gets out his trusty Pokeball Cannon and fires one into the arena. It lands and opens and Lucky hops out. She dances around and uses Softboiled to heal everyone for +4 HP, thus making Samus’ defeat of the Guard Armor seem even more pointless. Elsewhere, Rikku hits 3-3-4 and retroactively nails Fox for -3 damage.
---------------------------
Gregguru is riding on Suzu’s head while she rides on Amaterasu’s back. Gogo 2 looks down at Gregguru. The Pokémon looks back up.
Gregguru: Croaks.
Gogo 2: Croaks.
Ike: Is there something between those two?
Isaac: It really looks like it.
Leon: I recognize that look...
Ike: Which?
Leon: The one the frog is giving. I get that one from Mai all of the time.
Mai: You mean the ‘I know you are a pervert, prepare to die’ look?
Leon: That is the one, except you make it in such a dreamy manner.
Before Mai can kick Leon’s teeth out, Amaterasu walks by and Gregguru nails Leon with a Poison Jab. The ex-police officer drops instantly.
Gregguru: Croaks.
Gogo 2: Croaks.
Ike: It seems to be looking for someone. Is Gogo 2 really it?
Snake: It is giving Gogo 2 the same look it was giving Balthier, but Balthier is out by the field drooling over Yuna or Paine or one of the cute girls, not Rikku.
Gogo 2 ‘accidently’ gives Snake a flat tire.
Montblanc: Kupo. We are almost there.
Shirona: Where?
Montblanc: Preventing another war, I hope. Kupo.
---------------------------
Sephiroth’s group is standing at a doorway. A pair of Hammer Bros stand watch. Deep, bass music is playing over the local sound system. Sephiroth is holding a box. The door opens as a beat looking King Koopa answers. He is wearing only an open bathrobe with his spikes sticking out. The rest of his team turns red and look away as Sephiroth and Koopa greet each other.
Koopa: What do you want?
Sephiroth: I have come with a peace offering. Hands over the box. Babka?
Koopa: It is probably poisoned.
Sephiroth: How did you! I mean, that would ve very rude of a welcoming gift to my new neighbor.
Koopa: Neighbor? I specifically got my headquarters to be as far away from you as possible!
Sephiroth: Headquarters? I believe you mean ‘temporary residence’.
Koopa: What is that supposed to mean?
The Hammer Bros inch closer. Sephiroth’s team catches them since they are averting their gaze from Koopa.
Sephiroth: Well, just that the only way to the surface is either through Montblanc’s patrol zone, and we both know how annoying the rat can be, or through my lair which has the prime real estate as we both know from last game.
Koopa: I do not have as bold ambitions as you do. I have no qualm with the GM or his regime, nor do I hold a grudge against Montblanc and his saps.
Sephiroth: What about Ganondorf and Vaati? You probably do not harbor good feelings towards Fox or Auron for your defeats...
Koopa: Listen, if you are trying to incite something...
Sephiroth: I would never do that! but I would gladly finish anything that gets started.
Koopa: Get the hell out of my sight.
Sephiroth: Briefly glances down. Just keep this in mind... my sword is bigger than yours.
Sephiroth gestures towards a broadsword that Koopa has on his wall. He then turns on his heels with a massive gust under his coal black cloak. Sephiroth strides away from Koopa’s headquarters. The rest of his team falls in line and follows their leader. Koopa just growls and heads back into his lair to rest and take a steam.

0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. I will allow posts +5 minutes in so you don’t have to rush your action.

Code:

Specials follow the same format where appropriate.

Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.

Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).

Final Smashes (FS): FS actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The FS use counter does not reset until all characters have used their FS. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. Characters that still have an available FS are marked with the Yen symbol (¥)

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

Titles: Titles basically serve no purpose except for bragging rights. You do get a minor point boost or some other bonus effect for earning them though. Some titles will be earned via the war, but most are available during regular gameplay. Some titles are even multiple use so they can be had by many players. A list of all earned titles will be kept throughout the game. At no time will it be revealed how you earned a title so it will be a better challenge to get them. Some will carry over to the next game(s), but most are once per game.

Example Titles:
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter; Metroid Prime Hunter; One-Winged Angel; Jedi Outcast

Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime FS-es or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.

Starting/Maximum HP = 50

Factions: (** = Active Ability)
Castlevania: +40 - Vampire Slayer - Characters can automatically defeat two NPCs with 1, 2, or 3 HP or defeat one 4 or 5 HP NPC in addition any other actions this round
Deep Space 9ers: +60 - Reflective Shields - All attacks directed at the members are reflected back to the attackers. Members can still attack
Dream Land: +20 - Skill Copy - Members may use any special belonging to any [Faction] member. (Check character guide or with the GM for specials)
Hyrule: +80 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +40 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Mythology: +50 Power of Myth - Each member can make two regular attacks as well as one of the following: a weapon action; a +3 HP heal; or a third regular attack.
Pokémon: +60 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Sephiroth: +70 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +190 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action
Versus: +90 - Versus: Adrenaline Rush - Members may make unlimited actions. Special users may use their special twice (any given player may only use the special once)

With no major NPCs to cause trouble, Bracket B heads to the sidelines in an orderly manner. Now that they have time, all of the women mob Nanoha so they can squeal ‘Kawaii!’ while hugging Yuuno-kun. The poor little guy eventually passes out from all of the rough handling and close contact.
---------------------------
Montblanc’s group has stopped at the end of a hallway that splits into two directions. They are waiting for their leader to return.
Gregguru: Croaks.
Gogo 2: Croaks.
Sam: Agreed!
Mai: What is taking so long?
Snake: Well, you know the mouse he is probably...
Montblanc: Kupo.
Snake: Right behind me. Turns. How’s it going boss?
Montblanc: Kupo. Snake, Ike, Shirona, come with me. Balmung, take Mai, Suzu and Amaterasu and head back to base. Sam, take the rest and go the opposite path to head towards the arena. Wait for us there.
Sam: Sir, what is going on?
Montblanc jumps up and knocks Sam over the head with a blackjack.
Montblanc: Isaac, you are in charge of that group now, kupo.
Isaac: But, what...
Montblanc gets out his blackjack again...
Isaac: Yes, sir.
The group splits and go their separate paths. Gregguru looks back, jumps off Suzu’s head and follows Gogo 2. Montblanc’s group continues down their hall and reach a massive doorway. Outside of the doorway are a pair of armed Moblins.
Snake: This ain’t good.
---------------------------
Sephiroth has called a meeting of his top advisors. Ridley, Colonel Johnson, Dr Wily and Carmen are all ready to report.
Sephiroth: Koopa and Vaati have gone too far! They are attempting to move into our territory and impede our goals.
Ridley: I have seen no evidence about Vaati...
Wily: He directly confronted Yoshi. What more proof do you need?
Carmen: And there is still the matter of Dark Samus.
Johnson: Seems like everything might be coming to a head sooner than later.
Sephiroth: While I do agree violence is the answer, we still should try a peaceful solution first. All in favor?
The whole table says ‘aye’.
Sephiroth: Good. Koopa seems to be neutral, but Carmen should step up surveillance on him.
Carmen: Easily.
Wily: Sigma has been trained to handle Vaati’s and Ganondorf’s troops. Prometheus and Pandora would be good back up as well.
Ridley: I’ll go too. Looking like a monster should give me some sway.
Sephiroth: Good idea. Turkleton, take your lieutenant and Riku and go on patrol for Dark Samus. She should poke her head around somewhere.
Johnson: Agreed.
Sephiroth: The rest of us can handle defense of the lair and supply backup if needed. Everyone understand what they need to do? Great.
Everyone gets up and start going to work.

Mythology: +50 Power of Myth - Each member can make two regular attacks as well as one of the following: a weapon action; a +3 HP heal; or a third regular attack.

Round 37 Announcements:
1: Bracket A is Active! Bracket B is Inactive!
2: Djinni Guide: Name - Coal; Location - Plot; Found by - None
3: I hope you liked the commercial parodies. They are really fun to write. If you have suggestions, feel free to PM me. I will be doing more of the ‘who’s greatest’ discussions since they are pretty fun to write. Drools over the idea of more Mac vs PC commercials.
4: Read me! Or at least the ones written by your beloved GM
5: Starting the Reference List again. I want to get it out of the way early so we have more time for other stuff (and so I don’t have to do this once class restarts).
6: Since I am very sick of these names, the Djinni is one of these, or is it: Granite, Flint, Reflux, Fizz, Smog, or Aroma.
7: Moon Prism Power! Byakuya is out latest ‘Mahou Shoujo,’ netting +5 points and matching sailor fuku.
8: Yay! Regular NPCs are back! Wait... Sheik will just slaughter them... oh well. They are back!
9: Bracket A is Active! Bracket B is Inactive!
