I think it looks sort of cute - it looks like one of the creatures from A Bugs Life and Ants (? sorry I can't remember if that's the exact name of the movie) :)

I find it okay. Some poses are a bit cutesier than others, after all. I'm only really liking the one featured in the next caption competition.

On a side note, how come they're creating so many pets in the spring/summer

You're absolutely right! (By the way, those are the right names ;) ) I guess that's why I like it so much. It's a cute pet. Well, like normal-cute, not cutesy-cute. Much better than the Yurble, in my opinion. I'll wait and see if the lab ray gives me one.
