Xera looked over at Oz. She shook her head, warning him. "We can't harm it!" She whispered fiercely at him. She passed into the cave just behind him, completely blind in the darkness. She was happy she was invisible to everyone that wasn't a friend. She waited at the entrance for a while so her eyes could adjust. She tapped Oz as she slipped past him. She moved forward, sidestepping the giant stalagmites that blocked her path. It became harder and harder to see. She heard the loud rumblings of Oz moving behind her. Just as she thought there could be no more to see, she heard a rattling intake of breath. The sound was so loud, she even felt it. The cave lit up with a bright orange aura, and then turned black again. She darted forward on the light she saw and turned, looking at Oz.

Rauven ran till he had no breath left. He was still worried some more trees coming for him. He looked at Reikand and saw he has not very worried with his sides. He could attack him right up, he would not sense him until his cold blade pierced his ribs. Foolish kid, thinks so good of himself... Suddenly, all the trees went away, and he had to stick his feet on the ground or he would hit Reikand, that stopped ahead of him. Reikand turns to him not even tired, and shows him something brown, and it was pulsing. Suddenly, some mist, something Rauven was not sure to be liquid or gas, pumped out of it. Right away, Reikand put it away, but Rauven already knew what it was. The heart of a tree. He had with him the amulet many kings wanted. Rauven could still see the air around the place where the heart was brown, the magic aura would not leave that place for awhile. Rauven was so amazed with the finding only noticed the waterfall and pond when Reikand started walking in the direction of the waterfall. He could sense two auras next to him. Two auras he didn't saw since the beginning of his quest. Xera and Oz were near.

Reikand took a step forward, looking toward the two auras that seemed to be in the rock face. He knew that they had to be Xera and Oz. He took another step forward, looking down as his foot was covered in water. He saw another swirl in the water, this one more clearly defined, but still not enough to see exactly what it was. It didn't seem threatening, so Reikand paid it no more heed and took another step, his other shoe filling with water. He turned back to look at Rauven, jerking his head toward the waterfall with the auras behind it.

"Wait!" Rauven whispered, but it was as he had shouted. The sound entered the cave, making no echo whatsoever. "Look, there in the water. I have a feeling that they are on a mission of their own, and if we interfere, we are gonna have to deal with whatever thing lies down there." Rauven looks at Reikand, to see his tiredness, and grew confused with the fact that, although the battle and the big run trough the rough floor of the forest, Reikand was not even sweating, nor was his respiration altered in any way. Rauven, used to the runs uphill mountains, was still a bit tired, his respiration still heavy. "Well, you don't seem tired in any way, so it's really your call"

Reikand thought about the non-interference idea and liked it. He turned away from the cave and walked in the other direction. He kept himself cloaked and worked his way quickly along the edge of the pond to the other side, where a nice, sunny knoll rose out the edge of the pond. He plopped down onto the bright grass, decloaking himself in the process. He beckoned Rauven over, sure that the man would enjoy a little bit of rest.

Oz immediatly moved in front of Terra, reaching into contact with the soul of the earth, preparing to use his powers when and if nessessary. Earth was the main power of the Guardsmen, though there were other, more specialized power sources. "Stay behind me until you see an option to attack or contain it." Oz told Xera. His companions need not be hurt where he could in their stead.

Xera felt the anger welling up in Oz's mind. She hushedly warned him against such thoughts. Creatures can sense emotions. She followed Oz as they rounded another corner and saw the beast. A soft orange glow surrounded the whole beast. The beast was asleep, and every time it snored, it's mouth opened, and the entire room filled with sound, light, and incredible heat. Xera stood still, beckoning Oz to do so as well. She silently hoped that he wouldn't prematurely strike the beast and cause an unnecessary fight.

Oz whispered slowly and quietly to Xera, "Logic says that if attacking will not work, and trapping will not work, reason is the only course left. You think it'd listen?" There wasn't much else to do in the line of battle tactics or anything like that, so this would be the only thing left.

"Listen?" Xera peered carefully in, her hood brushing the overhead growing plants and roots.

They had no idea if this creature was intelligent enough to understand anything...But since it was a creation of the Earth Lady, one would not know until trying.

"We...shall try whatever we can, as long as it works. Ready?"
