The news is depressing. There isn't a joke or anything. I guess Neopets has become so commercial that they no longer have time for actual fun news like they used to. It seems neopets is changing ever time I go there, and all the fun reasons I used to play are slowly going missing.

It's not even the 1st till Sunday. Do you really think they'd spoil the suprise early? Hold off on the predictions of doom until it's actualy April Fools.

I think the April Fool's Day joke may be this Faerie War no one has ever heard of till the new Neopian Times issue. It would be lame, but I just really don't think they would announce a new plot in the Neopian Times and put no clues or hints out in Neopia in regards to the plot. That's my personal theory. Plus, they're all like "What? Haven't you heard?" and I reply verbally to my screen "Of course not! I get the magazine and I read the New Features page daily and have never seen anything about this."

Well, the Faerie Wars thing was actually user created. Maybe TNT will have a joke on Sunday, although that would require somebody working overtime. I am very curious.

edit: Since they published an article about past years' jokes, that makes me think that there will be a joke this year too. After all, why would they get people's hopes up if there wasn't going to be anything this year. They could have put another article in it's place.

They're off Sundays, so I doubt they'd actually post then.

What about mondays? They make late news all the time.

They don't actually have to manually update things. They can set the server to do specific things at specific times, queuing updates when they want them to come out.

There is no Monday news. It's Tuesdays news, but it's usually updated Monday night.

Slow down there tiger! They're capable of setting things to update automatically on Sundays as they have done before. How do you suppose the Daily Dare updates itself among other things. It's a bit unfair to judge an event before it's happened.

If they don't do anything fancy this Sunday, that will be the best trick of all. For the rest of the year, we're going to be constantly looking over our shoulders to see what the trick is. Has an awesome new food been released? We'll be afraid to feed it to our pets incase they turn into Chokato Chias. Is there a cool new game out? We'll be afraid to play it incase it turns our neopoints into piles of dung. . . The evil geniuses.

Last year's April Fools Day occurred on a Saturday. Yet TNT still managed to play a trick on us: the Neocharge. One of the best ones ever, I might add. So, my guess is that if they want to play an April Fool's joke on us, they will and won't let the fact that it is a weekend stop them.
