What's RSI?

Repetitive Strain Injury (yes, they always have to think of fancy names for it :)). Basically if you work behind a computer all day and don't sit right, you'll get in trouble, starting with your mouse hand. It'll start to get sore from the stress, then painful, then possibly permanent.

Seeing as the end is drawing near, I'm curious as to how many people are still in the race of completing the AAA challenge at the launch day. I did a few Abigail's in the beginning, because I figured I couldn't beat AAA in all games, but as it turns out, in most games I can :P. I wonder if they'll also calculate a score on how well you do, rather than just one of the four prizes

Over here in Australia, we now call that OOS!

Occupational Overuse Syndrome

I am in the running still for the Uberiffic Prize.

Day 1, was the heartbreaker, if it had been further in the Dare I think I would have tried harder to win against AAA. Once I challenged Abi, I didn't try too hard to win against AAA on most of the others, but I am sure I could have won against him in more than what I did.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

I just completely took myself out of the running for the uberific prize! I knew I could get it, but nooooooo I waited till late last night to play the stupid mimzy game, and as soon as I got ready to play MY !%!$#@#$@% INTERNET CONNECTION WENT OUT!!! And the %#$@# thing stayed out till way past midnight!!! *bangs head repeatedly on desk* !%!$@%$%@#$#$%@%#$!#@#$!!!!!

Now all I can get is the last worthless prize. ARRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

....sorry, just needed to vent and get some frustration out.

Meer, I definitely feel your pain. The day Daylight Savings went into effect, I got home after the time change in the Eastern time zone. It was 3:15 here. Then, at 3:55, I realized that the Pacific time zone hadn't changed yet. My computer lagged, and was slow loading, and between those two things I wound up missing that day by two minutes.

I was wondering about this too. I've only gone against Abigail once (day one, really upset me that they put such a hard game for me first), and have beaten AAA every day since. I think it would be cool if they gave some sort of extra points to those who only missed by say, 1-3 games against AAA.

Thanks. It's always the little things that get ya. >.<
I was frantic last night, shouting profanity at my modem and fanaticizing about taking a sledge hammer to it. Then I just had to tell myself to step back and calm down, it's just a game.

I was all psyched to get the uberiffic prize. I thought, well there's no way I can get the first prize (I was out of the running for that at day one, I'm terrible at Destruct-O-Match), but second prize is not bad at all, and I can do it no sweat. I even like the name best-- uberiffic, it's so silly it's cool. XD

But oh well. At least I can still get something at the end. Spifftastic here I come! :P

Beat Aaa again. I am rather fond of Igloo Garage Sale, and can average about 1000 pts a go but I cannot fathom how people get 12k. I mean, the all items caught bonus must be insane on the upper levels or there is a code you can punch in so the lady chia doesn't through bombs/pianos at you or something.

Anyway. I'm going to end up with the lame Spifftastic prize. I was shooting for Uberiffic and while playing Sophie's stew, something weird happened that sent the score I got on my first try three times. I was not a happy camper for a good couple of hours after that.

I just hope I can still get the avatar.

I doubt the spiftastic prize is lame really. Igloo garage sale is a bit easy. On my first try I got 712 points
Edit: On second try I got 1098. Beat AAA!

I completely agree. I feel that way about a lot of games, but there's NO way anyone could be cheating, so we can't even mention that. For the record, there's no other code in the game, I checked. -.-

Decided to go for the Abigail prize, I don't want or need posters lol. Should have challenged AAA though, I got 900+ points on my first go :)

Feel slightly miffed that the AAA prizes that I manage to get are usually not much better (sometimes worse) then the Abigail prizes. :x

Sun Mar 25, 2007 10:49 am

Since I'm lazy, I always challenge Abigail, even when I'm good at the games and I get more points than AAA. I really want that prize, so I'm a bit heartbroken at the fact that I probably won't be home on the 31st :(

Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:43 am

The solution is to stay up midnight and play it right at 12am NST or 11pm NST.

Sun Mar 25, 2007 3:08 pm

Heh, that's harder if you live in Italy. ;)

Anyway, I'm going for the Megasuperb prize. It seems like a much less common prize to be aiming for compared to Uberiffic, and also, does require more effort and skill, so I hope the prizes are better. I could have gone for The Ultimate Prize... if I had actually bothered to read the text the first time. I didn't realise there were any prizes at the end, until the second day. D:

On a better note, I did beat two of the four games that were giving me some trouble last night, as in, ones that took slightly longer, Dubloon Disaster and Gummy Dice. Now I only have to do Destruct-o-Match II, which I got very close to last night, only to be a point away from advancing levels, grrr, and Meerca Chase II, which takes too long for my attention span.

Hey. Same friggin thing happened to me on Mimzy. I'm still irritated about it. [rant]I was 100% on track for Uberiffic then - WHAM - my score gets sent multiple times, and I'm still sure I didn't click "Send score". Why would I send a score of 40? Much less send it a bunch of times in a row without replaying the game? I sent in a bug report, but don't expect anything to come out of it. What just adds insult to injury is that when my score was sent a bunch of times automatically, I got the "your score is under review" message. Sure enough, a couple of days later I get a cheerful neomail from TNT saying my score of 40 was accepted! How incredibly Spifftastic. Bah [/rant]
