I keep wondering this. what must your bank balance be in order for your daily interest amount to increase by 3 nps when you collect your interest?

it'd be a ridiculous amount. i know something like this came up before. when you have the highest level bank account, and nearly 10 million np, it increases by 1 np per day. so somewhere in the neighbourhood of 30 million np is your value

Uhm, I don't know the answer, but a 'recent' Editorial addressed something similar (amt. needed to raise the interest by 1 NP per day).

oooh. There is something to do with decimal points going on. I just got the 3-pt increase today, at 17+K. so the balance might carry dec pts, or the interest calc'd might carry dec pts, but there it was. Hmm. I watched the other changes, and they were all very off-and-on, sometimes get the extra NP, sometimes not. Eventually leveled off where I'd always get it... then occasionally a 2-pt increase... etc.

I think it's because of the rounding up, because with close to 20 million, I'm seeing a 2 or 3 np increase.
