Heh, I was just about to come here to ask that.

I mean, if they are gonna be removed, and TNT just kinda prefers we don't use them, but isn't icing people, then I wanna get as much as I can for now. :\

Sorry if that made no sense..

If you're scared of being iced but still want to follow TNT's suggestion of clicking through the actual link, check out this petpage, which used to be Pigglletta's. It links to the games, not the process-click links (with the possible exception of the slorg payout). That's what I'm using. It hasn't been updated, so most are dead links. Off the top of my head, this is what still works (in order as listed on the page):
Pack Attack
Son of the Mask (secret NP 250$$)
General Mills Commercials
Peanut Butter Cookie Crisp Ski Jump
Darcy's Wildlife
Survey Smash (secret NP 250$$)
Southwestern Indian Home (secret NP 200$$)
Sultan's Quest? (secret NP 200$$ -- I couldn't find any hidden NP, but I'm not registered as a Canadian -- I'm assuming since it's still up, those who are can get the NP)
Monster House: Yard Attack
Flushed Away
Rich Slorg
Petpet Adventures
and all the greeting cards you get NP for sending

As far as I can tell, this page follows TNT's suggestions exactly, so you still have to do the work (except now you won't be clicking on all the dead links). This will get you about 10-15k/day, I think (I'm too lazy to add it up myself), almost enough to buy your daily stocks.

(If there's something else that works that I've forgotten, PM me and I'll add it so that it's all in one place)

Yeah, that page was great, when it was regularly updated. Although it does have some (now broken of course) prosses_click links, it used to have a lot of links to the actual games.

I wish there was a page like that regularly updated, because eventually all those links will become outdated, and new ones will need to be found.

I don't think it should matter if TNT is going to freeze people or not. It's pretty clear they don't want us to use those links anymore and it's their site with their rules....

I remember that you could only earn like 15k from clickies first. I did it a few times and then haven't done it for months because I thought it was too boring and I'd rather play games. Because I had more time I decided to do the clickies again a few weeks back and I saw that you could earn over 55k from it! It's fair to say that it got out of hand. It was fun while it lasted, but TNT has now put an end to it.

Besides, petpages that link to the activity are allowed, like the petage Siniri posted. I'm sure some day someone will make a site like that that's up to date.

I don't think people are "trying too hard to justify" - if the sponsor is getting a view, TNT is getting paid, and the player is getting NP, everything is legit from a legal standpoint and everything seems to be win-win. "Valid" from TNT's standpoint probably means the first two - the sponsor needs to get a pageview and TNT needs to get paid (we already know the player would get NP).

But broken down that way, a major problem pops out: with the process_click list and tabbed browsing, the sponsor would neither get a pair of eyes viewing the page nor the ad that links to the page. Two middle-clicks let you load the page and *poof*, it's gone before you see it. (In fact, you can also do something even worse with Firefox's more-powerful tabs.)

So after flip-flopping for a bit, I'm personally abandoning process_click as something that's Not Good no matter what TNT says about them.

So a solution for all sides is to create a page that does this with each sponsor link: show the flash ad or activity that the link comes from in one frame/window/whatever, and then load the sponsor's page when you click on that ad/activity, then give the next sponsor link somewhere to the side in a second frame/window/whatever such that the first sponsor is still visible. Flip back and forth between the frames/windows/whatevers.

I think I can implement the back-end for this if anyone wants to figure out a GUI.

Actually, this solution has a teeny problem too: if the ad was clicked on via normal Neopets browsing, it's more likely that the person would be actually interested in the product than all of us clicking sponsor links for NP. But if the ad shows "Get ### NP 3x a day" anyway, the proportion difference is probably negligible.

See, that's actually what I mean by trying too hard to justify using the process_click links. No matter how elaborate an explanation one comes up with to justify why it ought to be OK to use process_click links instead of visiting the sponsor activity and then clicking on the link given there -- the fact is, TNT said in the editorial that it's not OK. And really, is anyone surprised? I liked the free NP as much as the next person, but did anyone really expect TNT to leave it so that people could make 20k-40k without much effort forever?

I'm frankly annoyed that they haven't actually taken the links down, since it's really not fair to people who are trying to play by rules to leave them up and giving out NP unless they go on a freezing spree of all the people who continue to use them, and I don't think anyone wants that.

No one's denying that using the sponsor links given in activity on the site is perfectly OK, it says that flat out in the editorial as well. However, the original activities have been removed for the vast majority of the process_click links people were using. I don't do challenge cards since I find them annoying, only links to webpages and find-the-NPs and you can only earn a few thousand NP a day from the ones that are actually on the site.

Well, there are pages out there that link directly to the active games, and all you have to do is load the games, click the links, and you've got easy NP. It's very simple and TNT has stated its okay. That's what the sponsor links are for anyway.

All this means is that we will be making less NP because we can't use the no longer active but still playing out old links, and it will take a bit more time because we actually have to load each game. We can live with that, can't we?

Anyway, it doesn't matter how I get to the links, I'm still not going to pay any attention to the product they're hawking, and I'm not going to spend more than one second glancing at the site. I simply have no interest in the kinds of things they advertise on neopets. :P

I have heard rumors that TNT has started freezing people for using the old links, however I have no clue whether there's any truth to them or not.

I think it would make much more sense and be fairer if TNT would just disable old links so they didn't pay out NP anymore, instead of freezing people. Why leave temptation there? People are still going to use them if they get NP from them, no matter what. People are always going to try to get away with things that they know they're not supposed to do. Surely TNT knows that. Why give them more opportunity to do so? I've stopped using them, because I feel it's not worth it, I don't want to loose my account. But how many people are still using the old links?

I think the thing people don't like about that is that it's a LOT less NP. I've never used the process_click links except once or twice -- I didn't think it was worth the risk of collecting NP from games that had been explicitly removed from the site. But before TNT took down the last round of find-the-NP games, I could still get, dunno, 8k-9k a day. Now it's more like 2k. That's a pretty far cry from the 20k-40k you could get from the process_click links.

I personally don't even bother with petpages, I just have the remaining games bookmarked. :-) But between losing the find-the-NP games and all the Crowd Patrol games vanishing, my daily income has dropped drastically.

I think I'll go back and start looking into what challenge cards remain after all, since my battle pet is back in training and I could use the NP. And, maybe I'll look for a good Food Club guide and make a few sacrifices to the gods of the Stock Market as well. :-)

I have begun paying my dues to the stock market gods now, due to the lack of sponsor games/clicks and such. If I was smart I would have started doing it when I had all that extra NP to throw around.

Erm, I guess this is an all out debate. To click or not to click. MY sister says not to, that she won't do it since her account is in much better shape than my own and she wouldn't do anything to risk all her hard work. True, it does take work clicking each link, but....
Why do they keep outdated links around that still pay? Why don't they just disable them from paying?
Well, seems TNT has a lot on their hands trying to add new stuff and can't always go cleaning up after older links that they've taken out of the site otherwise, though they still pay. Is it ok or not to use the links?
Why aren't they more clear on this issue?
Erm, well I don't know any answers, but I do know that yesterday and today, I have used those links, got a total payout of 37,925 NP out of them yesterday, and another exact 37,925 NP today. If you do the math, I belive it supposed to come out to much more, so it seem some don't pay out, or that they make take a couple of days.
Either way, I admit to using the links, and I guess if TNT wants to freeze me for it, then I'll just have to find something else to do with my time.
If I get frozen / warned or whatnot, I'll give an update here for ya's :)

Well thanks for offering yourself up as a guinea pig marbles! ;) Do let us know what happens.
If anyone else out there brave enough to still play Russian roulette with the old links wants to let us know if they get frozen or not, that'd be great. At least then we'll know for sure.

I've been clicking them and nothing has happened. If TNT doesn't want players to use the old links, then they should disable them when the deal expires.

That was my thinking, they should disable them, otherwise people will still use them.
In any case, I'm not doing anything on Neo right now because of the NP glitches. So I'll see what happens.

Oh I'm still went clicking them today. And I guess I should have mentioned that the 37,925 NP was only for the sponsor clikies, not clicking on the "find red NP" or greeting/challenge cards NP and such that are obviously still allowed on petpages.
Glad to be a guinea pig! If I eventually get frozen or warned, oh well, but if not, then at least I'll be rich! I'll kepp ya's posted!

ok,i am in a kind of situation here.both me and my brother share the same computer and we both play neopets on 2 different accounts. The thing is that after TNT said that its not 'legal' to click on all these clickies,I've stopped doing so,but my brother is still doing so.Let's say that TNT does carry out freezing of accounts based on this abuse, will TNT ban my account as well? o_O
