When I've got Composite 1 (and assuming its correct), can I just throw it in the cauldron and never think about it again, or do I have to finish up Composite #2, first? AND THEN, once I've got Composite 2, do I throw in Composite 1 and 2 into the cauldron or do I combine both composites, THEN throw it in the cauldron (if that's even possible?). Aiya this is confusing.

Finish both composites, AND THEN throw everything into the cauldron.

(And you can't combine composites)

no the unspecified property(s) don't matter.

(nuts, too late to delete the double post; moderator please do so.)

Second phase:

So, do you need to use two different ingredients? I have 10 grams of grass with +42
and another 6 with +43. I tried combining them and I got "Error: Composite not found" Then I turned the second mixture into a composite, and now I only have the "Throw them all into a pot" option. Is that right, or do I need to throw composite one and composite 2 into the cauldron together? tried to understand the formula, I'm awful at math, but it looks to me that if it's an average of the ingredients then shouldn't you only need them to have the same property value when you combine them to keep it from changing?

Composite #1:
Quantity: 16 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +42 +/- 5

Edit: So I do have to start over with composite one then since I couldn't get the mixtures to combine.

So, then, are we remaking component 1 or are we simply making component 2 for Level 2?

SWEET! And here I was trying to make sure that was zero. That makes things easier...

aaah I just read how to combine... >_<

That error means you forgor to select the composite that you want to combine with.
Then I turned the second mixture into a composite
Throw the second away, and get another ingredient up to the correct stats.

yep, if that's possible for you to get, that's the easy way of doing it

Anyone made it through level 3 yet? I'm going to bed now (It's 1:30am here). Hopefully you'll all have figured out more info by tomorrow morning.

So how do I select it?

Thu Nov 09, 2006 6:32 am

Some things you do to ingredients actually decrease the properties of one quality.

However, this can be used to fine tune any ingredients you've overshot with.

Note: to add an ingredient to an existing composition, first CLICK ON THE COMPOSITION, THEN HIT THE COMBINE BUTTON ON THE INGREDIENT YOU WANT TO ADD.

NOTE THAT THE COMPOSITION'S QUALITIES ARE THE AVERAGE OF ALL INGREDIENTS, WITH THE INGREDIENTS IN LARGER QUANTITIES HAVING MORE EFFECT THAN THE ONES IN LESSER QUANTITIES.

Click on the picture of the composite - you'll see a red triangle thingy - then click combine

Just click its picture and a red arrow should appear underneath it.

Har. Either Firefox or Adblock is blocking it.

Thu Nov 09, 2006 6:36 am

For those who haven't seen it yet:

Composite #1:

Special: Spectral Essence
Quantity: 25 grams

Composite #2:

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +82 +/- 3
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +83 +/- 3

Composite 2 cannot contain more than 3 grams of any one basic ingredient.

The second one is bad enough. The first one...?!?
