While Drilax and I were in the Battledome, kicking some arboreal butt, I got to thinking. First we dug up a bunch of graves, then we marked all over the headstones, then we smashed those headstones, and now we're battling every evil tree we manage to come across.

At this rate, we'll be lucky if there's any Haunted Woods left by the end of the plot. :P

First, we dug a whole bunch of graves, which we have since smashed.
Next, I vote we fight enchanted potions.

The only thing i think we've got left to battle are:

Wave 3:
-----------

-The Lag Monster
Difficulty: 740

-The Blank pages of DOOM
Difficulty: 280

-The Server-Crashing Gremlins
Difficulty: 140

I haven't managed to work out what weapons they've got yet, though :D

The howto states you can't do potion mixing anymore. You can. I just succeeded that phase. You get plot points for that, too.

I think you misread... it says the steps immediately before and after are no longer possible, which is true, but the potion-mixing is still fine. :)

Lag isn't bad now at all.

When I was making my 1st Move, this is what happened: Blank page of doom ~~~ error: your pet is not properly equipped ~~~ Then this:

Quote:
elafifi5496 Blathering Beech
0 / 11 30 / 30
Power 100% Power 100%

The fight commences!

Blathering Beech has beaten you!
You have lost this fight!

Weird! o_O

Edit: Right now I am trying Blathering Beech again...I hope there will be no errors!

Quote:
elafifi5496 On the last move... Blathering Beech
You cast a spell on Blathering Beech with your Golden Geraptiku Talisman!

You attack Blathering Beech with a stream of acid from your Scarab Ring!

You have used the Spark!

Blathering Beech launches their Rotten Jack-O-Lantern Bomb at you!

Blathering Beech uses Inertia against you!

You shield yourself from Blathering Beech's earth attack with your Golden Geraptiku Talisman!

You defend yourself against Blathering Beech's fire attack with your Scarab Ring!

Blathering Beech heals themself using the Red Scorchstone.

Blathering Beech heals! (20 hp)
Damage:
3 hp Damage:
11 hp

I absolutely hate it when they heal! :x [/quote]

I can foresee a future plot, where you can get to pick either puzzle or war - just as in you could pick Warrior or Supporter in a previous war.

That should keep everyone happy (maybe). :)

Quote:
If you could only pick one side, then no, it wouldn't be fair for everyone. I love both, and I'm not brilliant at both, but I guess you could call me a "Jack of all Plot Trades".

I didn't say it would be fair, but with all the complaints about previous plots, it could be a direction TNT would take. And notice how I said 'maybe'..... it was only a suggestion, and already it is being pulled apart as a bad idea.

"Moaning about not being able to get points and max out" -
Some of us do enjoy seeing how far we can get, and then battling for real from there on. Maybe it doesn't float your boat, but we enjoy it. Feel free to do something else you consider worth your time, and we can play the game as we want. The lag wouldn't bother me quite so much if I didn't know the opponents will be gone by the time I get home tomorrow evening.

I don't know if this is directed at me, as I never suggested anything of the sort and I feel offended at the attitude.

The only thing I said in a previous post was:

"I really get sick of the argument about battlers who spend millions miss out. It is their (our) choice in spending that much and no guarantee of anything other than glory in the battledome."

I enjoy 'wars' and have never suggested otherwise. I believe the mix of puzzles and fighting is a great way to do plots.

As I have stated many times - this battle part of the plot is only 1 step in the plot. To leave challengers from previous waves out would defeat the purpose. Fights must be within context of the plot, which these are.

I also said I was a little upset at not getting the score against the Stones I wouldn't have liked. But as this is obviously how this plot will unfold, then complaining about it is redundant.

Quote:
Anyone seen those movies/TV shows where there are two groups of characters? One group is at home with all the gadets and gizmos, working out how to fix something the bad guys have done, while the other group is out there quishing the villain's minions. Of course, this would make doing both illogical, but then, these plots can't really be considered all that logical.

All plots follow some sort of logic. If there was 2 separate groups (fighters, puzzlers) then obviously the set-up would be a little different, and to totally dismiss the idea shows a lack of imagination.

Quote:
(You know, considering the site started for Uni students, it's starting to be leaning away from that idea, isn't it? How many uni students here have time for the plots these days, really? Sorry, random thought. :P)

Neo hasn't been 'for' Uni students in years.

Everything must grow and expand otherwise it flounders and dies. Of course such a huge site as Neopets has become more than what it was. What great company hasn't?

If neopets only catered for one age group, how long do you think they would have lasted?

Plots are only 1 tiny fraction of what is offered at Neo, what difference does it make if you are a uni student or working or a kid at school? We all have to make the most of our time on Neo.

Yes, you can steal from these opponents. So far I've been able to steal a Pumpkin Club and a Blue Scorchstone (which was great, as it allowed me to heal twice during that battle). So if you're sick of 'em healing, get a Purple Sticky Hand and just go to town. :D

The most fiting reward I can think of for this plot is to allow us to take all the lumber from the many, many evil trees we have slaughtered. Each gnarled and battle scarred trunk will probably give up enough board for a plank of picket fence for my Neogarden, which I can use to hem in my lawn. On quiet evenings I will be able to hear the spirits of the trees moan and curse my name as I enjoy a cup of coffee on the veranda.

I wonder if there are large enough pieces left of the gravestones to make a walkway.
