I can foresee a future plot, where you can get to pick either puzzle or war - just as in you could pick Warrior or Supporter in a previous war.
That should keep everyone happy (maybe).
If you could only pick one side, then no, it wouldn't be fair for everyone. I love both, and I'm not brilliant at both, but I guess you could call me a "Jack of all Plot Trades".
That's pretty much why I prefer being able to do both. The way this plot is laid out, though, makes the battle side look pretty insignificant. What would be good is a puzzle plot going on at the same time as a war, rather than alternating like this. Not only would this be good for the people don't want to battle, it might be even better for the people who do. Anyone interested in puzzling will spend some time away from the dome, and the lag would (hopefully) die down. Of course, the only way to *really* achieve the lagless part would be to somehow ban doing both at the same time..
Anyone seen those movies/TV shows where there are two groups of characters? One group is at home with all the gadets and gizmos, working out how to fix something the bad guys have done, while the other group is out there quishing the villain's minions. Of course, this would make doing both illogical, but then, these plots can't really be considered all that logical.

Some of us do enjoy seeing how far we can get, and then battling for real from there on. Maybe it doesn't float your boat, but we enjoy it. Feel free to do something else you consider worth your time, and we can play the game as we want. The lag wouldn't bother me quite so much if I didn't know the opponents will be gone by the time I get home tomorrow evening.
(You know, considering the site started for Uni students, it's starting to be leaning away from that idea, isn't it? How many uni students here have time for the plots these days, really? Sorry, random thought.
