Well, what's to say that the townspeople will all be fluffy and peaceful once they're revived? It's still entirely possible that they'll be belligerent zombies. Okay, unlikely, but possible.

The only fighting I can see happening would be like the LDP. We had to defeat The big Fire Face Guy (can't remember his name). I think we will have to defeat Mr. Krawly like that.

Yeah, I can definitely see this plot ending in us having to defeat the Big Bad Guy.

However, I honestly don't think Mr. Krawley is the Big Bad Guy of this plot. Krawley (Crowley) is such a stereotypical demonic underling name that I find it impossible to believe that he's not working for someone. He's got to have a boss. My guess is either Illere or the Spirit of Slumber.

Maintaining database is not an easy job, repairing/restoring one is even more difficult, slight mistake could "destroy" the database, aka lost the data and start over from beginning, I've learnt some stuff about database, and really hate the repairing topic. So please be patient.

I know that maintaint a database is hard work, I've tried to do it, and failed uberly, but really, when they put together a plot that has fighting in it, who's NOT going to play?

First of all, database issues don't just go away. People have to stay during the weekend to fix them, when they could be spending time with their families, resting, or whatever. I'm really sick of hearing people complain about the programmers being slow. Give them a break, it's a hard job.

BTW, that wasn't directed at you, Fifi. However, this next comment is:

Please please PLEASE don't use the gradient thing again. I almost went blind trying to read that :)

I think there's still a chance that there will be a war. Who's to say that a plot has to be either puzzle or war? Both can occur in the same plot which is what I'm leaning toward for this one.

Anyway, I hope it's back up soon.

Is there any chance that this problem will be fixed before Monday? I know they are working on it, but the way people who know about this stuff are talking it seems like it's going to take a little longer than just the weekend. This question is mostly directed towards those of you who have actually dealt with fixing data base problems.

I know that probably this would take a very long time, recovering/reparing the whole server of everyone in the plot or possibly every account made and their status.

Hopefully they haven't lost too much which would make some people start over again.

Well, the "spy" can attest to seeing previously mentioned programmer online all day, only taking one 1/2 hour break, leaving at about 4:30 PM NST then returning in the evening and is still there now at almost 7:30 PM NST. I suspect the problem is .. uhm .. huge. Or at least takes a lot of .. I don't know, backing up and restoring and copying and resetting and maybe some fixing. I just know installing and customizing my Windows takes all day so, yes please, just everyone focus your energy on "envisioning" the fix, or else talk about war or .. go to the Battledome .. or something.

Well, it could take anything from typing in the "REPAIR" SQL command to "dammit, which wire did the meepit chew through!?" to "replace the entire RAID array because there was a fire and the disk array for the plot was in the top spot of the rack nearest to the sprinker".... The problem is probably somewhere in the middle of this disaster scale though, considering that if it were that major they would've told us, and if it were that minor they'd have it done already. :p

I managed to view the comic so I thought maybe it was back up... but when I clicked on the shack it came back with the stupid message :(

Eh. I'll check back in six hours.

Hmm, how does one get to Neovia or the shack or the rest of the plot from the comics? (i.e. the "right" way?) I only know how to get there through typing/clicking the URL from the first post of this thread... >.<
