I easily defeated the witch doctor, but now i have the meerca henchmen to defeat but can't even get passed their second hit! It seems like such a big gap between enimies. Any advice on weapons, training (although most done by lab ray, i could train if required).

Your first pet is better, but neither is strong enough for the henchmen. They are beatable at strength 55 IF you have awesome weapons, and at strength 85 if you have good weapons. Your weapons are pretty good, so you're mostly going to need to train, or wait (quite a while) for the lab to raise your strength to 85. I'll assume you're not going to bother with defence at all, which I don't really recommend... but if you plan to do 1-player only, you can get by. You just won't be able to use any shields or dual-duties and will have to rely on full blockers like your ring or percentage blockers like downsize!.

Also, get rid of that bronze scorchstone! It's useless for both of your pets. Greater Healing Scroll heals 50 hit points and is much, much cheaper. Here's the set you should get:

Ring of the Lost
Stone Club (buyable)
Greater Healing Scroll (buyable, cheap)
Downsize! (buyable, cheap)
Purple Sticky Hand
Snowglobe Staff
2x one-use bomb, like a snowball or muffin, or a reflector or blocker or whatever

Eventually, you should also grab a Honey Potion, the best bomb until you're up in the 16+ icon weapon range.

Faerie abilities are a MUST, an absolute must. In my first post on this thread, I explained what each of them do. Basically, you can use probably two on full strength (usually burrow and sink) and one on medium (I usually use restore or regeneration, but it depends) during a battle. When you use one, it takes up some of the power in the green power bar beneath your pet. You do not want that power to go to 0, because if it does, nothing in the drop-down box, even your species ability and fierce, will have an effect.

I don't know if people update their successes but here goes... I beat the meerca henchmen, i managed to borrow a honey potion and wand of reality(i think that's the name, the weapon from NQ2) and didn't have to train. Thanks for your help...the ghostkercheif is next but i'll have to wait a while before i can beat him even with borrowing decent weapons!

Is there any method of defeating the meerca henchmen with a 55 strength, hp and defence boost pet??

Species : Scorchio
Level : 5
Health : 51 / 51
Strength : GREAT (36)
Defence : GREAT (24)
Move : super speedy
Intelligence : above average

Well I'm using the lab ray at the moment and it's making my pet lose levels a lot, so I can't really do anything about that. Also another thing, I decided to check what's on neopets after like 7 months so I haven't been on lately. My budget is around 10k at the moment and I'm making money daily. I'm also going to buy a Downsize! as well. Also I need to replace my Astronomy Club with some good weapon and I need a better freezer.

Illusens Earth Potion
Leaf Shield
Scarab Ring
Obsidian Dagger
Purple Sticky Hand
The Astronomy Club
Green Frost Cannon
Earth Faerie Slingshot

Thanks :D

Spongeybob Squareypants - My advice is level up! I didnt, and kept labbing my pet and i ended up having to increase his level by 120 just so i can train any other stat. (and i still havent finished yet).

If you keep your level roughly half your hp, you will save much time & np later . . .

Illusens Earth Potion isn't great, but unfortunately, the next good bomb is Honey Potion, which is way out of your league... so stick with it for now. Your attackers are okay, and you're not going to do better for 10k. What you need most right now is a healer. I'd suggest you save up a bit more and get a Greater Healing Scroll, but if for some reason you can't, Lesser Healing Scroll will work. Put it in place of the Astronomy Club.

Thanks Cranberry, I'm earning money each day by restocking, games etc, but what can I replace my Sticky Hand with?

Keep the sticky hand if you're doing 1-player... quite a few enemies have useful items you can steal. In 2-player, maybe use another shield, like the mystical white cloak. It covers the icons your scarab ring and leaf shield don't defend (air, light and dark). Also, snowglobe staff is a better freezer than the green frost cannon. Aim for this:

Earth Faerie Slingshot (eventually replace with Golden Compass)
Obsidian Dagger (eventually replace with Stone Club or Ice Club)
Scarab Ring
Snowglobe Staff
Illusens Earth Potion (eventually get a Honey Potion)
Leaf Shield
Purple Sticky Hand or a Mystical White Cloak
Greater Healing Scroll

Some of those suggestions are much too expensive for you right now, but they're nice things to aim for, and it may not take as long to earn them as you think. :)

Remember that shields and nice dual-duties like Golden Compass and Scarab Ring are only really useful if you keep your strength and defence balanced. As you are a labber, you should be very careful with your stats. The lab likes to increase hit points and strength but decrease level and defence. You will need to codestone train those. Keep your level at half your hit points at all times, and train defence to match strength. If you find your stats getting too unbalanced, stop labbing for a while and just focus on training. If you do this, you will have a strong, balanced pet who can easily wipe out the competition, especially if you fight labbers who didn't bother training -- they will only be able to last a few rounds because they can't use shields, and you will be able to outlast and kill them.

Wow Cranberry that's some useful advice there. Should I sell my Earth Faerie Slingshot for an Essence of Esophagor? Or should I stick to my EFS for now? Also I'm going replace one of my weapons with Downsize! and I'm just goning to lab my pet just once more and if it goes well, I'm going to start training instead of labbing.

You can get the EoE if you want, but Stone Club is better. You could always pair up Stone Club and Ice Club for now, until you can afford to exchange one for the Golden Compass. Downsize! is a great addition, yes. And if you want to keep labbing, you can; it's actually faster to train and lab at the same time. Just be careful with your stats and don't lab every day if they start getting messed up. :)

Ok thanks but do you think snowglobe staff is a bit expensive right about now? Because it might drop price I think.

Actually, pretty much all decent weapons are overpriced right now because of war rumors (even though there hasn't been any hint of a war, some people jump on any plot-type thing and start inflating everything). It would probably be best to hold off buying anything until after the war rumors go away and prices return to normal. I think snowglobe staff usually sells for around 20k and it is worth that much (it's not permanently breakable or anything -- if it breaks, it's just for the battle).

Oh ok one thing I was wondering, what's so good about the Stone Club? Aren't most of the icons common? Also another thing, I bought my EFS for 105k and now it's 42k lol I lost 60k. :)

Not as common as EoE -- that weapon is totally blocked by the common and cheap Leaf Shield. Basically, Stone Club is good because it's cheap (it's buyable), does 9 icons, and all of its earth and air get through sink. Air is also one of the harder-to-block icons in general. Golden Compass is better than Stone Club, but they make a nice pair. Stone Club is also nice paired with Ramtors Spellbook (the club handles sink and the book handles burrow -- all 10 icons go through). That of course only matters in 2-player. In 1-player, you can just grab the two cheapest 9 or 10-iconers you can find and go to town. ;)

Ok thanks I made around 22k today and later I'm going to buy a GHS and maybe also a Downsize! Then after that I'm probably going to train my lvl to 30 and earn enough money for a good dual-duty and something else. I'm stuck on Meuka and I need some tips.
