The beam sword and weapons like it (Metal Box, Cloaking Device, Super Mushroom, Fan, etc) stick with the character that picked them up. They get multiple uses if they are in the hand of a character that is using a special allowing them multiple actions and weapon use (Roy's Double-Edge Blade, Shiek's Chain, Tina's Morph). Unless somewhere in the update it says a character can be used more than once, they cannot. I know that weapons like the beam sword are almost pointless early in the game or when a character cannot make multiple attacks, but that is the price I must pay for scaring players away.

Also, the beam sword issue has come up at least once every game since its introduction. I may stop issuing them except when multiple use scenarios arise.

SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there is no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat.

Story as of now:
Chrono uses his Lightning special to pierce through the Dark Trooper’s defenses for -4 damage (that attack can do that as said in its use). With some circuits zapped by the EMP, the Dark Trooper fires a Missile Barrage to hit Prince, Wario, and Soma for -3 damage with -2 damage to itself.

At the end of the round, Reno blows his whistle.

Reno: Okay! Everybody line up alphabetically. Waits. Good! The first twenty-seven of you on the field. The rest, take five. And you... goes to the Dark Trooper, you have been around way too long. You better get out of here as soon as possible.
Reno draws his sword and taps it on his shoulder while watching the Dark Trooper.

0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. I will allow posts +5 minutes in so you don’t have to rush your action.

Round 9 Announcements:
1: Bracket One is Active! Bracket Two is Inactive
2: I don’t like that Summon Materia were pushed aside last game, but that gets to change this game since they are now less frequent and Square Enix only. As long as I don’t have to drop them...
3: A quick word to Pichu fans. I may bring the little rat back but only if I can get a couple more specials for him.
4: Please eliminate the Dark Trooper. Koopa is dropping rapidly, and I don’t think you want to face both him and the Dark Trooper. Of course all of the specials will hurt Giga Koopa, and Giga Koopa would help you rip the Dark Trooper to pieces... Well, whatever floats your boat.
5: Christopher earned a rounded off score due to a very funny comment on another thread.
6: Christopher does not get any points for guessing Team Hyrule’s Faction Ability
7: Several characters got so wording changes for their specials to make them better for attacking those with immunities...
8: Bracket One is Active! Bracket Two is Inactive

This Round's Weapons:

The summon will be determined at the end of the round. BM is Square Enix, from FF I, but based mostly off of the 8-bit character :P

Story as of now:
Black Mage gets out his Summon Materia and holds it in the air. The massive Golem is summoned and raises a protective wall around the pudgy, little mage that will last two rounds. The Dark Trooper has gotten fed up with Team Hyrule. Marth looks over at his former teammates and shakes his head. The Dark Trooper fires a Strafing Run that his Team Hyrule for -1 damage each. With his strength going down, Koopa calls out some reenforcements. Two Koopa Troopas and two Hammer Bros appear for their leader aid.

2: In an effort to encompass as many games as possible, I am now working on a Sudoku Gridmaster stage and weapons! Warning: That #4 is out to get you!
3: Christopher is a very sneaky one. If I didn’t go back through all of his posts, I don’t think I would have counted that last action of his. You will make me memorize all the times zones just to make sure you’re not cheating, won’t you?
4: The Dark Trooper only damaged the Active Team Hyrule members in keeping with the rules.
5: Black Mage cannot take damage but can dish it out as he sees fit for this and next round.

The Joanna one was at 4pm, the Link was after 5pm, and the Jeran and Lisha one at 7am the next day so I don't see the issue?

Marth picks up the BFG and totals 2 Koopa Troopa's and one Hammer Bro for -3 damage each and -3 damage to himself just because he's a mad psycho villain with no regard for human life. He isn't wearing a white mask is he?
