I think they should have a moderately-rare paintbrush for the oldest version. For instance, you could buy one of those and turn a Buzz into a yellow Fleye or something. Turn an Eyrie into a green Tatsu. Wouldn't that be cool?

And stepping on a bunch of copyrights that were the reason they had to change most of those old pets. xP

I think the biggest problem with the new robot JubJub is the color.

After one quick recoloring:

MUCH better, in my opinion.

What bothers me is that the updated the Robot JubJub - but the Robot Kougra is STILL untouched.

robot kougra... *shudder* it doesn't even look like a neopet, style-wise. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Like the kougra plushies *shudders more*

yeah, silver fits the robot theme more. Most people think robots=shiney and chrome/steel/silvery-metal, like terminator or robocop... (although C3PO is gold)

diamond or ice, really shiny and fab. Not a blimin skanky caveman.

x_x I love the robot kougra. I honestly cannot stand the kougra revamps. I think they are horrible, which is why if I were to own a kougra, the color that I'd choose /would/ be robot.

If they made the pets, drew them, and named them, and they weren't blatantly copying other things, then it's their property. Even the Bruce and Macy Gray pets (which would be REALLY cool to have).

They owned those? o_O

I know they had to change Fuzio because of copyright issues.

The only way I can see TNT to change it is if we got a bunch of artists to change it ourselves and send them every single pose... otherwise I doubt they'd be willing to put the man power into changing it. I did my own recoloring too:

hmmm...slightly read through this post...I hope someone else didn't already say this and maybe this will get someone upset, but has someone actually thought through the idea of TNT sending out e-mails or neomails to every owner of a jubjub in Neopia? There are 5,420,503 jubjubs right now out there. That would be an insane amount of replies to go through. Now, while I dislike the revamp of the robot jubjub as the next person, I totally understand why they didn't e-mail people about it. Besides, it is THEIR site and THEIR creature. They can do with it whatever they want.

They had to rename the JubJub from JibJib due to copyright issues as well. Same with the reason with the M@cy_Gr@y (or however they had it). XP Can't remember on the Bruce.

I see another problem. If they had had this policy from the very start of Neopets, we'd still have Mellish's and Macy Gray's wandering around Neopia, and I, for one, am glad that they changed into actual pets instead of cartoon versions of random people. (And my first Neopet ever was a Lenny, the one they've probably changed the least over the years.)

edit: Not sure what the "Mellish" pet was all about. It was a guy with red/orange hair.

And if anyone wanted an old version of a particular pet they didn't have, they would have to wait until one came into the pound.

But what if you like the Revamp and already have the species that was revamped?

And what if, say, a year down the road there is another revamp? 3 different images for the same pet? Then there is the possibility that they completely change the species for some reason. I don't think 5 images of a single pet (and that's just for one color) are really that necessary.

Thats awesome. Your coloring is fantastic, it looks very neo :) You've captured the TNT style perfectly. Are you going to send it in? (Mailing it would work better, they'd be more likely to read the snail mail and look at the comparisons)

No, I don't plan on sending it in. Recoloring every single pose will take a while x.x; and I'm currently busy with another project. Thanks for the compliment though =) It was kinda a lazy coloring though, I messed up on the right foot...

PS: Zorg, are you the maker of the old game Gangsterz? You share the same name....

*edit*
Oh heck, I'll send it in anyhow? Who cares if it doesn't have all the poses...

Eurgh! You have my sympathy!

After all my e-mails to TNT asking them to sort out the robot kougra and they go and wreck the robot jubjub instead? It looks like a door knob!
