i despise the purple grundo my friend has. too much orange. all over it. but the other pets, like the aisha, its isn't overwelming, and therefore, okay.. *but i wouldn't swap my maraquan aisha for it*

I totally messed up what I was thinking.
Purple and yellow are opposite on the color wheel.
Orange and Blue are opposite
and Red and Green are opposite.
Each primary color (Red Blue and Yellow) are opposite to a secondary color (green, orange and purple).
*blinks*
And I can't honestly remember what the reasoning behind the two colors looking strange beside each other was.
It has something to do with how light reflects, and echoes against the colors beside it. I knew I should've actually paid attention in color theory.

Yes, I think it looks ok. And it's not nice to bug someone for having an oppinion. I'm sure there are many people out there who like the way some of the purple pets look.

Hee hee, well, colour me odd! I like the spots on the purple pets 
I also happen to like purple and orange together. They both happen to be my favourite colurs 
And purple is the colur of royalty, and Orange is the colour of insanity, so I am royally insane! AND I LIKE IT!

Ever considered buying a colour wheel? Purple and orange aren't complimentary.
The spots are fugly.
Look, if I were to pay the 90k for a Purple PB, wouldn't I expect it to paint my pet PURPLE?

I may be mistaken, but I just have this feeling that it has to do with a plot and I remember seeing something that gave me this feeling. LOL I do not like the spots, though.

I highly doubt it, it's just a cosmetic change that they just decided to without announcing it.
It's speculated though the orange is a bit of an homage to Thyassa (when he was at the time a Purple Chia -- most illustations [with the exception of the oldest in Gormball] was Purple with Orange freckles) Why they had to do it on even the pets that were nothing but purple is beyond me (especially with something like the newer Koi.) *shakes head*

Another Purple with Orange spots Supporter here.
On most of the purple pets, the orange spots look like cute little freckles, not rashes. O.o
And I happen to like purple and yellow mixed together. =P

Right now Purple Paint Brushes are hovering at 98, um..I don't wanna pay that much for a crappy purple pets when they have orange, Purple could have been a great color, the shading could of been great, but no, they had to screw them all up, and I think we should stop buying purple paint brushes, start a petition!

Purple and orange together is NOT attractive or cute. The Neopets Team mixing them in two different pet colours only makes them look like they have a bad taste in colours.
One dot of orange is too much.
I WANT PURPLE PETS TO BE PURPLE. The number of people who dislike far outweighs the number of people who like.

The reason they don't announce it? They don't have a good reason.

I agree. Purple Pteris are very cute to me. Its one of the few Purple pets I like,but I like it with pride!
I also agree with Phantom about letting people have opinions. Let people like them. I can see you dont,but have respect for those who do,please. I'm also going to say that its really rude to call TNT stupid because they think its funny/like them.
You may be right,maybe one day there WONT be any orange spots. I wish there werent any right now,infact. If they need their orange spots,make an Orange Spotted Purple Paint Brush. But untill the day that happens,we will have to put up with them. I certainly dont think you should get worked up enough to cuss over it.
