That tutorial really does work by the way, until you get hung up on a faerie ball...

By the way, dont faerieland have a bit of an unfair advantage with that? I mean in the real world cup the refs, the linesmen, EVERYONE has to be neutral, but the ball? Especially one that dives around 'randomly'...

No worries, I play with Faerieland, but the ball doesn't really listen to my team either :) I do know a fairly good way of scoring with it though, I'll try making a video of it too :)

Stop giving away the secrets to the opposing teams!! ;) You don't want them to win do you??

Maybe I should put a restriction on the videos: you can only look at them if you change teams to Faerieland :P

But don't worry, although these tactics might help, other teams just won't ever be as good as Faerieland :)

I like your video, hangman, pretty good example, but for one thing: you dont go first on the ball when game starts. You CAN do this, you can select your center forward during the introducing ball video, trying to point wherever he is (arrow will turn to a hand) and and then putting the arrow just in front of him, he will start to move the second the game begins. I'm allways the first on the ball and you can save precious seconds that way

edit: I hesitated to reveal that tip to everyone, but if people can share entire tutorials, the least I can do is to complement them the best way I can :P Whatever team we support, we're all PPTers after all  And as I seem to be fairly alone supporting lost desert, there would not be many people to share it with otherwise! :P

That's true, it's because of the PPT-spirit that I decided to help out everyone too :) Faerieland supporters do get helped first of course :)

As for the selecting during the showing of the ball, I always skip that animation by pressing the space bar, I think it's annoying having to see it every time, so it's a great hint, but I rather prefer speeding the game up than having an extra second to score, cause right now I only lose like 1 second, so I'm okay with that :)

:o Am I missing something? I've beaten every team and kept mine-- and theirs-- scores down to a 1-3 range... Does this mean I'm bad?

Faerie Yooyu video is available too now, right here:

If anyone needs more advice, feel free to ask! If you're a Faerieland supporter, I might even answer your question :P

That's what I was doing too at the start, but the moment I started to constantly win, I developed a bit more speed :)

I, for one, am so so glad that I dont need to press various buttons in order to change players. At least, Im not required to do it. I was born without a left arm due to a birth defect, and so obviously trying to control the mouse while pressing keys at the same time would have been impossible for me to do, and I wouldve been really upset if I had such a disadvantage. Not being able to get the Meepit vs. Feepit avvie made my unhappy enough, and I dont even like that avatar.

I get a bit of a rush when Im really in the game, and manage 3 or 4 perfect passes down the field. Its like -click, slide, turn, click, catch, turn, run!- Im not hindered by the keyboard at all this way :) Now if I only I could get the hang of moving right down the field, instead of left. I just cant do it :x

And the ball always curve in the right direction? Nice, I'll try that! :D And for selecting player beforehand, I suppose to everyone his own technique! I'm a little bit "soccer brainwashed" to ALWAYS go first on the ball!!! And as I did not even kwew you could skip the video.... :P Aaaah anyway, I'll continue as I did, I'm getting fairly good, no time to change technique!!!! :)

I like your way of thinking ;) I started playing with Faerieland, developed my own technique and I'm constantly getting scores like 8-0, 8-1, 9-0, ... so I'm rather trying to perfection this than to learn something completely new :)

The ball still remains a freaky little thing, but this way it works best for me... If you think of a better way, feel free to share ;) This is something I might consider changing if something better comes up :P

I used your video, Hangman, to make this. It's mostly to figure out the general area you want your player to be in (not how to get into that position however) when you make the shot. I'm not entirely sure how much it'll help anyone, but I've always had difficulty figuring out where I want my player to be.

Nicely done, I'm glad my video is being put into good use :) Seeing how the video might go a little fast, this image is good to get the general idea of what to do with the faerie yooyu...

I lost I lost I lost I lost, I tied, I won! I am getting the hang of it now. Funny when I usually get a shot, is still on accident though, I somehow manage to pitch it right in the corner, even the Jelly Goalie is too fast for me. I can steal the ball back myself now, and gave up my "passing to myself down the field" strategy, lol. A bit upset Shift doesn't reset my formation but it only makes me focus on my goalie more which is where I usually mess up anyway. Oh and the trackball mouse is working fine, but those lil guys are still hard to move sometimes. Are we supposed to sweat during this sport? I mean for real, cause I am, lol. :P

EDIT: Oh and you're all going to hate me I LOVE the Faerie ball. It seems to go exactly where I want it and the other team can't keep up with it.

Btw I am on the Faerieland Team :P and I promise not to submit any bad scores.

Altador's team is really really fast. I just thought I'd throw that out.

Edit: I originally had a mini rant here about the Faerie ball, which I think is what anjuna is referring to, but I got rid of it when I figured out the video was for the faerie ball, and not the mutant ball like I originally assumed.

Hehe, the faerieball must be moved with your mind. ;)
Seriously it seems to have a mind of it's own. Meld with it. ;)
I find more that I just "expect" or "guess" it will go here, and it does.

I want to know what is with that slow (mutant?) ball, that goes nowhere?
