It happened when you opened all valves and switches.

Just in case anyone else is still "stuck" at this Water Plant of DOOM, here is what I am trying next (feel free to join me):

Open up fresh tabs (you may want to flood first, but with this method it matters little) or windows (using the room= URL links); two for Room 1, three for Room 2, and three for Room 3.

Submit the following into each consecutive tab but do NOT click Go yet!

1. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=1&act=r1v1
2. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=1&act=r1v2
3. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2v3
4. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2v4
5. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2s1
6. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s2
7. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s3
8. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s4

Take a deep breath. Refresh tabs/windows (using the actual refresh key or browser button rather than the link above the pictures) like a Mad Plumber Wizard, orderly or randomly.

The "point" of this being (if there is any to all of this?) is to now maximize your "click effects" since order and logic do not seem to matter, this ensures you can more easily hit those "odds" of the "right" sequence. By refreshing using the browser button or keyboard key, you are refreshing the ACTION, not the room of any prior action that may have caused an effect. The links above the rooms refresh the room proper (to observe the effect of another room after you clicked anything). However, observing the water flow, changes, etc. does not seem to matter, despite the puzzle seemingly trying really hard to do that. ;)

This is a method of last resort. Good luck to all.

I just like to say thanks for the idea! It seems like I've been working at the plant forever (although not as long as you) and nothing was working. But after about five minutes of your idea I got the message that I fixed the plant. Anywase I hope you fix your plant soon!

You're kidding, right? 'Cause it hasn't worked for me yet, lol. Care to PM me details, or post them for others if they are helpful? I have tried randomly changing my refreshing all over the place, and still NOTHING!

I'm not sure if this is really helpful but I opened the 8 pages in different tabs in firefox and whenever the pages where done completely loading I would refresh them (using the f5 method). And since the pages loaded in different amounts of time it pretty much turned out random, and it wasn't much trouble for me since I just clicked whatever was loaded.

EDIT: Oh and I ended up with ++ ++U DDU, and I have no idea how I started.

Yep. That would be what I was doing too, for quite a while. Sort of an orderly sequence of left to right, orderly refreshing, one after the other. Then after a half an hour of that or so, I spent the next hour or so changing randomly the refresh rates here and there, thinking that might help. I really don't know what the heck is wrong with my set of data. Thanks for the confirmation it worked when all else failed though. Glad I could help you; wish I could help myself.

My Water Plant is broken!

EDIT: The engineers cheer. "You did it! The water's been rerouted properly, and there'll be no flood." :o I don't know what happened but I switched back to IE for something and got a gift from some nice person following my trials and tribulations, and got that message when I went back to the Plant Entrance to try manually again, after stopping Avast. Huzzah for me! I can stop wasting the forum with my woes. And now I can go on with the rest of my life ... :P

Congrats on finally fixing the plant!

*throws confetti*

I really do hope they award extra points for those who took longer than others. You deserve something for all that wasted time. Congrats again.

 Sigh, yes after all that, I really still did need electronic help. This proves human arms cannot do it all, even if the human brain can, lol.

So in case anyone else needs it, I invented (wow, never considered myself an inventor) :P the Mad Plumber Wizard. Just be careful how you use it, of course. ;)

Tell you what, I will dance to Paul Simon's You Can Call Me Al ;) and go spinning and spinning ... :D

Funny thing, I went to submit my constellation and visited the Archivist and Janitor (forgot the Farmer) and it wouldn't submit. Then I remembered, went to the Farmer, back to the Telescope and it was already submitted! :o The plot thickens, lol.

Any Mod around might want to edit the First Post (so no one freaks out when they can't submit the Protector after braving the Water Plant) that they should visit the Archivist, Janitor AND Farmer (the Astronomy Club appears not to be necessary) *before* the constellation is submitted.

EDIT: *Tears* you guys are all so The best. Healing for this plumbing trauma. I am saving this thread and keeping it close to my heart, reading it whenever I feel down about anything.
