im not going to complain if you totally disregard this, but i averaged the scores of the four people who were tied in votes (with bangel's and mayan's numerical scores)

pixa: 7.75

from this, i dont think i should be out, my average score was higher than two other people's

once again, im fine if im still out, i just wanted to point something out that i thought was odd

I don't rate by numbers, so that can't be taken into account. I may have rated the others higher and yours lower numerically

Painting my own reality
Eh. It works, but that's really it. It kind of comes to mind as somewhat generic, but it works. It's a good length for the signature, so that does work in your advantage. Not much else I can comment on, though. 6.75/10

Anubis
Artistic Creativity
This is a lot like Requiem's in the fact that it's just generic, and not out of the box or anything. It's a bit short, too. It works well enough, and it's not bad, necessarily, but it just isn't wowing. 6.5/10

Blk Mage
White Canvas*fades*Lingering for Some Paint
With a signature this empty, I don't think a fade is a very good idea. It could easily all fit without the use of extravagant animation. This is exactly like the first two though... good enough, but at this point in the competition it needs to be better than good enough. 6.75/10

Dragonfire
A Blank Canvas *fade* Multiple Brushes *fade* Endless Possibilities
This is good. I agree it's a bit too much. If I were you, I would have made it without the "multiple brushes" line and I would have also taken out the fade. But other than that, this one is pretty good. Nice job. 7.75/10

pipsqueeek

I like the alliteration on this one. It might be a bit short, but it's still not bad at all. I like the idea behind it, I like the alliteration, and there's not much else to like or dislike. 8/10

Pixa
Splash me with a spectrum
Ding ding ding, ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. Great job. This one has the wow factor that the majority of subtexts entered this round lack. Lenth is perfect, slight alliteration is perfect, and all around, this is perfect. 10/10

WIS
Sadly Paintless
Yes, he is indeed sadly paintless. What about it? Subtexting isn't about telling what's there. You have a picture of that. The main point of subtexting is to evaluate on what's there, not just state it. 6/10

I wrote my reviews in a strange order tonight, so bear with me if I say to look at the comments I wrote for someone else. Here's a big comment for almost everyone: The WOW factor just isn't there on this one.

I don't really get this one. I think I understand where you were trying to come from, but it isn't working for me. I don't think using "reality" works in this case. I don't really know what else to say on this one. 6/10

Anubis
Artistic Creativity

I don't really get this one either. All that's in the signature is a can of brushes and Robert's name. There really isn't any "artistic creativity" going on. There's a significant lack of artistic creativity for me. This one really missed the mark for me. 5.5/10

Blk Mage
White Canvas*fades*Lingering for Some Paint

(First, read what I wrote below about fades). I think you could have done without the beginning "White Canvas" part or just made the entire thing a complete sentence without the fade. I do like the fact that you used a "white" canvas instead of a "blank" one; the background is white and not transparent, so it's nice to pick up on that. 7/10

Dragonfire
A Blank Canvas *fade* Multiple Brushes *fade* Endless Possibilities

Too many fades. There are times when fades are appropriate and there are times when they are not. This is one of the latter. With the lack of stuff going on, there's really a lot of room to work with, so fades aren't necessary. I also don't think I've ever seen more than one fade on a signature. Sometimes simplicity is the key. I think what would have been the best is just using "Endless Possibilities..." (just a thought). 6.5/10

This one is alright. Again, lacking the "WOW" factor. I do like the alliteration and the choice of "anticipating". 7.5/10

Pixa
Splash me with a spectrum

WOW! This subtext is perfect for this signature. I love the slight bit of alliteration. The length is great. Fantastic job! 10/10

WIS
Sadly Paintless

Personally, I really like this subtext. There are times (very few), when stating the obvious is exactly what needs to be done. The fact that the signature itself is lacking activity, I think a very simple subtext like this matches really well. 9/10

1. Anubis
2. Requiem

Well, um, the point is there was going to be artistic creativity. Hence the blank wall and paintbrush. I know there's a lot of artistic creativity going on when I paint blank things. (Okay, not really, I splotch things everywhere.)

My original signature was without the 'Multiple Brushes' part, and without the fades, but then I thought that if you have multiple types of brushes, it gives more possibilities. Meh, oh well.

Judges Notes: Tough choice for elimination this round. A note on fades though. Using fades is a tricky business. They either work amazingly, or they bomb completely. Fades work well on busy signatures or signatures that have a dark, eerie feel. This has neither, and is in fact very open. The fades just don’t work.

.:Requiem:.
Painting my own reality
It is a good length, and I think it works very well with the signature, since it is so white. The “my own reality” is also pretty cool.

Anubis
Artistic Creativity
I don’t really like this one. It seems very bland, and doesn’t relate that well to the signature. If there was some kind of creativity on the signature I could see it. Maybe if you had used something like “Room for Artistic Creativity” it would have worked better, but to me, this is very dull.

Blk Mage
White Canvas*fades*Lingering for Some Paint
I don’t like the fade in this one. The signature is not the best for fades. It is too blank and empty to need a fade. Besides that, the subtext is alright, nothing spectacular though. I do really like the word “Lingering” though.

Dragonfire
A Blank Canvas *fade* Multiple Brushes *fade* Endless Possibilities
One fade isn’t good here. Two is worse. The signature is not the best for fades. It is too blank and empty to need a fade. The subtext itself is pretty good. I think you should have only used two of your ‘sections’. Just “A Blank Canvas with Endless Possibilities” or “Multiple Brushes-Endless Possibilities” would have worked better.

pipsqueeek
Anticipating Art
You captured what I was trying to convey with the signature, in your subtext. Excellent.

Pixa
Splash me with a spectrum
I like this one a lot. I really like the word “spectrum” and it works very well with “splash”. Nice job on this one.

WIS
Sadly Paintless
Hmm, I am really on the fence with this one. Yes it is paintless, but is it sad? I don’t think the signature conveys a sad feel, but more of an open, artistic, do-what-you-want-with-the-blankness feel. I think you could have done something ebetter with the word “Paintless”.

Elimination:
1. Anubis
2. WIS
