Anyone got any tips on getting the full lab map? I only have 1 peice so far that I found... dont trust my chances in finding all the pieces through REs anytime soon though.

Play games like Neggsweeper, Pyramids, NeoQuest, etc. that have lots of page refreshes...the more pages you view, the more random events (both good and bad) you get.

And if the RE's don't work in your favour, playing those games will help rack up the NP to buy it yourself.

I can warn you away from overpaying by saying

1- Avoid people who charge more for the whole thing on the TP than all the pieces put together are worth seperately. It is worth it to search for the pieces youself. It can save you over 100k.

2- Shops that have all 9 pieces (and usually a lot of each piece) overcharge on some pieces while offering others for a decent price, hoping that you'll accept thier honesty and buy your whole set from them. Beware!

It's ... incredibly, incredibly rare to be able to find all 9 pieces on the ground o_o You may be able to get one or two by RE, but buying is the only way, really xD

the auctions can be used to pick up a bargain but they're a bit of a gamble. personally, i tend to stick to the shop wizard for things like that. i just play it safe tho, it's really dependent upon how much you're willing to lose on failed bids in the auctions

yeah, they're all different prices. the only shops they're in are player owned shops, not any neopets controlled ones. the only problem with the map peices is that they're all the same and can take an age to look for on the shop wizard. good luck :)

Sometimes you can find a cheap piece at the auctions but they are VERY hard to get because the snipers are usually bidding on them.

The cheapest way to get them all that is easy and fast is the shop wiz if you do it right. Like the other person said, do NOT buy them all from one person. There is only one name for all 9 pieces, so you can't search for them specifically. Enter Secret Laboratory Map in the wiz and then when you get results you can buy a piece from whoever is the lowest, then go back and refresh to get other results and check to see if it is a different piece, then buy the cheapest again. Keep doing this until you have all 9 pieces.

The lowest wiz prices last time I checked (yesterday) were approximately:
(in no particular order and rounded down to the nearest thousand))
57000
49000
50000
71000
49000
56000
49000
80000
49000
(I would post pics with the prices but I'm lazy)

This means that for the total map, you should be paying somewhere between 510,000np and 520,000np.
Sometimes you get lucky and someone has a piece priced too low on the wiz (I found one for 600np once!) and sometimes there are people who put them up on the trading post for a fair price (their wishlist will say 515k or something which is about the same as the wiz).

I hope this helps.

You want the moustache on or off? ...Too bad.

I had lucky, I found three, received three as a gift fro people at the guild and bought the other three. If I find another one, I give it to the guild.
