I actually never checked in on my petpet. I simply left the page with the pet pet open and clicked on the appropriate action every minute (I used :O3 as my action clicking time). It worked fine for me that way. Possibly people who are having trouble should just do the actions, without the checking in.

I need help!!!!

I've been trying to heal the Vaeolus for hours now, and it just won't. I've clicked the right thing every minute for 10 minutes, and I'm sure I didn't doing anything wrong. The Skeith just wont appear! This is what i did:

- Clicked on Vaeolus and waited for the minute to pass
- Clicked on 'check on vaeolus' after minute passed and clicked correct link
- Continued this 10 times
What did i do wrong!????? Help!!!

You have to check on it immediatly after you clicked the correct action... and then after a minute check on him again.

-correct action, then check
-check after a minute
-correct action and check....

Well, it can be very tricky, I tried it for over an hour on 'my' Vaeolus, and half an hour on my friend's.

What I did was click on the Vaeolus, then click whatever link you are supposed to click once a minute (we all get this), but if I clicked twice in one minute, just to make sure it got what it needed, I failed. So every minute, click just once.

I only clicked check on Vaeolus after the tenth time I pressed a link.

Otherwise, ask someone whom you trust to log into your account and do it for you. Maybe it's better luck on a different computer?

But don't worry, we all get it in the end, even no brain me :)

DId you do it 10 times total or 10 times after the first? And, after the ten did you do a few more to make sure you'd done enough? If you left right after 10, its possible that you really needed to do 11, and weren't doing the last one.

The first time it didnt work for me because instead of clicking the link Wait, i justed waited for another minute to pass. Silly me did read it all properly.
When i did it correctly the 2nd time i clicked the pet at about :10 saw, clicked the action needed, waited till :03 past checked in, clicked the action needed and repeated.
I did not click check in straight after doing the action

My Vaeolus thing took me forever, but I finally got it. All I can say is that I'm thankful for the people who took the time out and explained it. I thought I got it in the FAQ's, but I never could get it until I flipped through here and found where someone had explained it again. Then I got it. :D LOL, I think this was probably the hardest one for me just because I couldn't get the thing to light up. Urgh.

I never had trouble checking in on the Valeous too much. You could check in every 10 seconds, so long as you do just one action every minutes. I had no problem when I did it that way.

Ahem, anyway...

I love the deary of a petpet. I had issues at first, but once I understood how it worked, it went by easy for me. I didn't really stress it too much...apparently, I'm one of the lucky ones. :P

I dont agree wiht half the players as they jsut do too much (to be safe i guess)

Ms Manic do the following:
From the archivist wait till clock is 00 and click on the pet, do your first action immediatly followed by the check in, wait till the min is on 0, now do your second action and immediatly do the check in.
Wait till the tiime is jsut past the 0 and do your next action folowed by the check in.
Again wait till jsut after the 0 and to the action... check in...
you follow?

If you click too early in that minute, you will get that space and have ot start over.
If it wants to be feed 4 times in a row, do so and dont worry.
Many of us had ot try it for hours till we get it right.

If you use anything other than IE, make sure you are not simply viewing old stored versions of the page, which tends to be default in many browsers. In IE 6 the "Automatic" setting is faulty. Make sure you have it set to this:

Internet Options > General (tab) > Temporary Internet Files > Settings > Check for newer versions of stored pages > Every visit to the page

EDIT: A few posts back in the last few threads or so, allnameswereout listed the other settings to pay attention to in Firefox, SeaMonkey, and Opera.

i use mozilla and didn't have to adjust a thing. but rather than refresh the page to death, i just went in and out of the room and got it on the third run :)

Well, I don't know why everyone's having such a complicated time with this. I just clicked the action, waited until the end of the minute, refreshed the page (to see what action I should do next), and clicked the next action, for ten minutes. Shouldn't that work for everyone, if they do it right, ie. if they do exactly one action during each NST minute? (Browsers have to be set up to look for the most recent version of the page.)

silver, a few of us were talking about this on a board -- why has it taken hours for some of us? Why can some people just use refresh and have it work and others have to click the Check On? And how are some people who aren't clicking Check on or refreshing but simply clicking on an action each minute getting it to work quickly?

We're wondering if TNT hasn't found some truly bizarre way to make this even more of an individual thing. As in, we may all know the steps that need to be taken, but we may not all be able to use the same method for the steps to achieve the goal of getting that constellation.

For me? I ended up having to click the Check On at exactly :59 for it to work -- nothing else would!

To contradict you, I failed the first time because I accidentally checked in on the Valeous twice in one minute (it was like minute 2 for me) and I continued on thinking it wouldn't matter, but after I had done about 13, I realized he wasn't lighting up and left and started over.

I screwed it up (on accident) that time too, on minute 5. So I started over AGAIN, and got it on the third time.

Third time is the charm, eh?
