Maybe Altador and maraqua used to be neighbors but something happened while banishing the darkest faerie that ssent altador spinning off into another direction? Just a thought.

And, more imporantly, it says in the neopedia article
Word is quickly spreading that two young heroes, a Lupe and an Acara, had something to do with the great city's restoration.

Fauna, the Gatherer is an acara. The lupe is the king. But what's up with fauna? is she somehow special?

Heh, the lupe and the acara don't have any relation to the council members. :) They are Roberta and Tor, two chaaceters from Neopets: The Darkest Faerie PS2 game. They are indeed responsible for Altador's restoration.

Are we allowed to complete the plot on multiple accounts? o_O I would have thought that was against the rules because it meant, come prize distribution time, you'd get double/triple/etc. the rewards.

Yes, DON'T do the plot on more than one account! There may not even be prizes this time, but if there are, you're definitely violating the rules and could have both accounts frozen.

Also, I have to agree with those who have said the oil and rag position is probably random (and if that thing about being able to refresh at any statue until you get it is true, it's definitely random), so can we please, PLEASE stop posting page after page of "I'm an Aquarius and I joined Neopets in July 2000 and I'm a girl"? After one or two people disprove a theory, there's no need for 20 more people to throw their two cents in. I've read every single post in these threads; there were so many pages that I was sure something new must have happened, and I was very disappointed to see that 80% of the posts were chatspeak, people asking questions that are answered in the first post of the thread, or people tossing out already disproved theories. Are people too lazy to read back and see what's already been said? Bah.

I said this two threads ago, and I'm still sure it's true: there's nothing we can do until they update the next part. Just like in the LDP, we've hit the point where we have to wait. And as the whole mini-plot has been very easy so far, I'm assuming when we do get the telescope it will probably be as simple as "look at ceiling over hero, go to telescope and find star pattern in sky."

Oh. All right then. Never mind. I know absolutely nothing about the PS2 game, so sorry in advance if I do anything else like that.

Also, I have no idea if this has any relevance at all, but I wonder if the paper sticking out of the book is anything important. Could just be a stray paper TNT put in to make the book look disheveled, could end up being something important. Just a thought.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 3:13 am

Well said, Cranberry. I believe it would be safe to assume that TNT hasn't fully formulated this mini plot yet, and today's entertainment has just been a little taste of what is to come to hold us over.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 3:16 am

what if altador(as a city) had something to do with the sinkin of maraqua

like perhaps there was a war or sumin

~~just a theory~~

also someone said that u could sign up for astonomy club after 9(neopets time) and its 10 down here in maryland and that means it would be 9 in neopets time at 12 in maryland and im not sure if i can stay up that long
~getting to the point~
does sign up start a 9(neopets time) and continue for like the rest of the time you can do the plot or its it only at 9(neopets time) and i would have to stay up late one night
~~do i make sence?~~

Even if we can't do anything else for now, it's still fun to discuss it, eh? It's fun to throw ideas out there and see if it's possible. Let's not stamp out other people's fun too quickly. I don't mean to sound harsh, so I'm sorry if I do. ;)

Has onyone noticed the crackes in some of the statues like the darkest faerie??? I wonder if they are going to open.

edit...... *Maybe when there is an update on the plot we could red tag it and in red letters put plot update next step. Or something. I'm enjoying some of the new idea's that are being tossed around.

Oh, I agree completely that it's fun to put new theories out there! And I'm seeing a few good ones on the thread, and that's cool. But like I said, it looks like mostly people are tossing out "new theories" that have already been discussed and discarded as being wrong (obviously these people haven't bothered to catch up with the thread before registering here and posting), or are going on and on about their gender and birthday and join date when it should be obvious after a couple examples that those things have nothing to do with the oil and rag placement.

I came third in the LDP (and friends of mine/fellow PPTers came first and second). We participated on the thread here a lot and helped a lot of people out, and we enjoyed talking theories with people here. But that thread (at times) turned into a horrible mess of people talking over each other and not paying attention to what we'd already discussed, and I'd hate to see that happen to this one.

The statues are all really old. The legends are not stone either. The DF WAS a stone statue, but it looks like this plot is picking up from after she is freed, and then Tor and Roberta re-seal her. Which means she should actually be in the fountain in Faerieland. xD

So no, the statues will not open...not the DF's for sure anyway.

Just a random thing I noticed, probably has nothing to do with anything, but you never know, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

When you look at the whole room, there's a darker stone behind Kelland the Theif. However, when you look at the statue of Kelland, the stone behind him, where the dark stone would be, is the regular color.

Also, when you look at the individual statues, some are in the light and some are in shadow. For me, they go

In light:
Jerdana
Kelland
Florin
Sasha

In shadow:
Siyana
Torakor
The Darkest Faerie
Marak
Fauna
Psellia
Gordos

Altador is in shadow, but there's light behind him.

Do other people have the same ones in shadow/light? Anyone see a pattern?

I agree with you, Cranberry. I took the time to not only read this thread, but the previous thread as well. I figure that if I took the time to go through all that, so as to not repeat something previously said or explored, other people should too. It would be nice to not have to read pages of gender and birthday or having to answer questions that have already been answered. In that case, I agree! If you're one of the main people helping with the plot answers, thanks! I wouldn't have even gotten this far without the help of PPT!

I most definitely agree. PPT is wonderfully helpful, and let's not clutter it up.

I think I am caught up now, YAY!

Sun Mar 19, 2006 3:57 am

And I agree with Cranberry too - the LDP was fun but the comments/theories did become tiresome at times. The main problem is that this plot is in very early days and it's easy to say people should read back but it may not be long before that becomes impratical. Perhaps there should be a fixed "theories/ideas" post that people can read and see what's been discussed - things can easily be removed as they are proved/disproved. Or perhaps that's also easy to say when I'm not a mod and don't have to maintain this stuff!
