How so? o_O

(I'm not trying to be accusing; I'm just genuinely curious).

Not saying it would happen, but if there were to be an small hint for the plot in the game, everyone outside of America will automatically be at a disadvantage having never had the chance to play the game. I'd hope that TNT would be smart enough to not let that happen - but it being the corporate thing it has turned into - I wouldn't put it past them to try and get a few more games off the shelves.

That's the said reality of capitalism. Corporations will put others at a disadvantage and use any tactics possible to make a buck :(

i'm very sure they are the same neopet. neopets made a promise to look over old april fools art and see if they could make use of them as neopets, petpets, or petpetpets. i think it's very imaginative, as it says them time for coming up with something new. all they need to do is redesign goofy art into GOOD art.

The thing, is, the more money they make, the more they can do in the way of new servers, more employees, etc., so it still helps out in the long run.

*Sigh* I wish they would have realsed the pets as we seen them on Aprils Fools rather then redraw them into things such as the Gnobru. No one voted for the Gnobru, they voted for the ORIGINAL pet, not a recreation and redrawing of it.

Totally with you on that one... even its original name was better! Llamameeah :P

Okay, I'll admit Llamameeah was a pretty cool name. But I actually really like the name "Gnorbu" - it reminds me of my cat for some reason (his name is Toby btw, and nothing at all like Gnorbu so I don't know what the deal is). I also happen to think the Gnorbu is adorable.

The Ogrin on the otherhand... *shudder*

I'm sorry but nothing talked about in this thread so far has ANYTHING to do with big bad corporate america or capitalism

Why must people whip that subject out for anything they don't like? Just because they might not be able to release something outside the U.S. doesn't mean it has anything to do with greed. The videogame is the property of another company, people. It is up to their marketing people, and they apparently don't think it would sell well anywhere else...since it didn't sell well in america to begin with.

I do love it when people read my posts.

My point was that now that Neopets has been bought out, they have a much more business orientated style - and they will indeed get some revenue for the sale of the game, not much in comparason but a little.

If they go down the road of using problems that can be easily solved by someone who has played the game, but not by someone who hasn't - it would be unfair to say the least.

No, the game hasn't sold too well - and what would make it sell more? If it made the next plot easier it would sell a few more at least. Back in the day Adam and Donna wouldn't have even thought about it - and I am by no means saying that they will - but nowadays, it wouldn't surprise me. Yet, I still hope that they will have more guts than that.
