Oh bother. Can anything else happen? I just went to play for my third piece of the day and got the message that I'd already won three picture pieces. There's a nice feature on the page that shows what you've won for the day. And there are two pieces. Because I've only won two. *grumble mutter curse* Why don't they just go ahead and offer one game per day and limit our winning to one piece? This whole change thing has made me too irate to attempt to post before now. Putting my thoughts into words would make me madder than I already am. So I won't.

I was wondering What about the game that is played at 11pm. Is it creditedon the next day??
What I hate is on the 11 pm game If there are not enough players you don't get the world challenge for comming in 1st place you don't get the jackpot you don't even get your entrance money back they just delete the game. I think they should at least leave the game till there are enough players for the prize to be rewarded since they are going to rotate that game.

Did they take away the rotating games now??? I cant beleive it they now took away the rotating game and there are only 2 games. And of course they are ones I can't get good enough scores in to get any peices.

I'm just trying to make the best of it here...
If you're trying to trade away pieces, attach 1K in neopoints to the piece. That way, they'll trade with you instead of someone else, and you won't lose all that much.
As for the 3 aday thing, I'm not too torn up about it. It gives me something to shoot for. In fact, I ran the numbers. If you get 3 pieces every day, use them to complete maps, and sell the completed maps for 660K each, you can make about 35-36 MILLION NP every year. Not to mention what you get from playing the games ordinarily. I liked it better the original way, too, but it's stupid to just stop doing this when it's the best way to make NP. The only thing that makes me mad is the popular games thing. If my game ever gets deemed unpopular, there goes a great source of NP for me.

Mine already has been. I've been trying some of the other games, but I just don't seem to have the right game playing abilities to excel in them:( Oh well, guess it's back to waiting on the rotation:P
Edit: Happy day! Today my game actually IS in the rotation:)

No way. How did you come to that number? First of all, only a few maps sell for that much -- I'm lucky to get 450k for Tyrannia. Neopia Central is even cheaper. And if you look at _knight_general_'s WC prize pages, many of the other maps are hard to complete and very few of them were actually completed and sold last year compared to the "easier" (read: cheaper) maps, so there's no way people were doing one per week. Secondly, you can't just complete one map per week anymore because of all the doubles and the lack of people who want to trade for them (a big enough problem with Tyrannia, and probably much worse for the Maraqua or Krawk Island players because there are even fewer of them). I started over at Tyrannia 1 four days ago and I've earned 12 pieces, only 8 of which were "originals" and could go into my map. The rest are sitting in trades and not getting any bites. Several pieces of that map (1,18,20) are more common than others and I just keep earning those over and over.
Before the change, I played the World Challenges a lot. Pieces were unrestricted and I probably did complete a map every week, and I didn't make any multi-million NP purchases or anything, but I still didn't even come close to 35 million NP. I doubt any WC player did.
Edit: THEY JUST MADE VOLCANO RUN A LIMITED GAME. I am so angry right now... words can't even express... that game was plenty popular until just last week, and you know why no one is playing it anymore? BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID 3 PIECES PER DAY RULE, TNT! Forgive us regular players if we don't want to sit there for hours playing the game just for the scores when we're not earning any NP or picture pieces!
They might as well just scrap World Challenges entirely now, as far as I'm concerned. They just keep getting worse and worse. Way to drive away your loyal longtime players, TNT.

Wow, I didn't know the different worlds sold for different amounts. People ask about 660K for a completed Faerieland map. It might take them a while for them to sell that high, though. Still, you can make tons of money from this. Also, it works better if you browse for people who have already put the pieces you're looking for into trades, you might have better success. That doesn't always work, though.

Well think of it this way ... now that we can clear&recomplete the pictures, the second time through will be pretty quick. Look at all the duplicate/triplicate pieces I have hanging around.
No, wait... that will just make them very cheap.
Besides, they'll prob'ly change the rules again by then and I'll have 3 full pictures with no way to earn more pieces.

Trust me, as someone who made almost all of her income last year from World Challenges (Tyrannia, Faerieland and the occasional Meridell/Neopia Central piece), I know a lot about them.
And like I said, pieces 1, 18 and 20 of Tyrannia 1 are extremely common and no one wants them. I've put them in trades, browsed trades for the pieces I do need, everything. But now that they made my favorite game and my main source of pieces a "limited" one, I may just give up anyway.

It's funny though...I want to give up, but the little surge of elation when I notice my game has made it's way into WC for a day...still. Yeah, I would totally give that up for the chance to win every day:P

Update since my last complaint.

Yes it's me again. Look what I descoverd at midnight the games that are being rotated dissapear into the galaxy. I had 2 scores when they took it way that had not scored. Well they just brought back my game into rotation and look....

Now if I would have been on top that would have been just great. But I didn't have to enter the scores are carried over when they bring it back.
