Remeber...
1) Hurley is a fictitious character in one of the greatest tv shows ever made
2) He said no because he dwelled in his past, I bet you do the same.

Six weeks. Aaah -- I don't know what I'll do. Veronica Mars better not be that long....
Anyways, tonight's episode was just okay. There were some aspects of it that I loved, and others that I was just so 'bleh' about.
First off, let me just say that I'm so happy with what Kate did. I mean, I'm not happy, but, I am. (Oy, I'm off to a bad start.) Going into this whole thing, we knew Kate did something really bad, obviously. But we've already seen her crash a car, steal a car, sort of kill a guy, and rob a bank. So I had really low expectations for her big crime -- I mean, if she just killed someone, it's not something so dramatic like "We finally find out what Kate did in tonight's episode!" But lemme tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. She murdered her seemingly-fake-but-really-real dad by EXPLODING HIM (lol) and collecting the insurance money for her beaten-ex-Brady-Bunch mother. WOW! Totally exceeded my expectations.
But that was it. I was really expecting Kate to be really affected by her crime, and she was -- but the girl went CRAZY!! The whole Jack kiss thing, I'm totally confused with. Why'd she kiss him? She thought Sawyer was Wayne, not Jack. I really don't get it. And the horse -- well, that's just plain weird. But now I'm thinking, apparently everybody is seeing crazy things on the island in pairs. First Rose/Jack, then Sayid/Shannon (I miss ya, boo!), and now Sawyer/Kate? Odd.
I for sure thought Michael was gonna mess around with the computer so much that the blast doors were gonna shut just as they watched the strip in the Orientation video. Definitely. But that twist... oooh, what a shocker! But Michael's still my least favorite character. No plot twist can change that.
Shannon's funeral -- boring. I really wanted to see the reactions of more people, like when Boone died, or even ScottSteve. Claire wasn't even crying. CLAIRE. Something's wrong here. And it seemed like the number of the survivors is dwindling. That did NOT look like 40+ survivors, or even 30+ (though I doubt there were 20 people missing inside the hatch...). Anybody got a screen cap to count them?
When's Cindy coming back?
I have a new theory that the flashbacks are flashFORWARDS... okay, never mind.
And am I the only one who needs just a little more Hurley and Charlie action in my weekly Lost fix? Not that kind of action... I mean, the action as in their awesome humor. Hurley said something hilarious in this episode when he was talking to Jack, but I totally forgot what it was. EDIT: Hurley: "So, Rose's husband is white. Didn't see that one comin'."
First, the tv show will focus as should be predicted as the love triangle between Jack, Kate and Sawyer. The kiss is typical reaction from a female being vulernable in tv...but then again, why did Kate seem to want to BE with Sawyet when he was in critical condition. I think the thinking he was Wanye was only part of the reason.
I think I forgotten something, what did Rose and Jack see together thay was odd?
The number of survivors, IMO, is irrelevant in the show because the first few shows they showed a LOT of survivors, then they focus into the characters making it seem only 8 or so survived, until you see a lot of them standing playing "golf" and then the season finale where bizarre things happens.
Gah, I don't want any of the original cast to die, but Shannon really didn't really have much to contribute to the group, and not sure if she really accomplish anything. I was more thinking everyone is still in shock at how she died then the fact that she isn't coming back. (Wonder if she can come back as another halutionation(sp?) or even a ghost!)

I'm mad that Kate kissed Jack and then scurried away from him with a horrified look on her face. I like her and I like him, but if she starts toying with him like that, she's just going to mess him up and he doesn't deserve that. Plus, she's going to drive him to Ana-Lucia and that is just a fate worse than death.
Isn't that a typical depiction of girls? Though seeing Jack hurt and him having another fist fight with Sawyer might be a seasonal thing.

Even though she was uber obnoxious this episode... I still like the character Ana.
I think they should've given her a more interesting back story though.
That whole cheesy line of "I was pregnant" thing was just bad and not very dramatic at all.
Although her walking up to him after she shot him and pumping him with a efw more bullets was nice
Seriously though.... the writers really must want people to hate this character.
First.. they have her pounding one of the most popular characters on the show, Sawyer.
Then what do they do this one? Have her yet again being a big ole witch to yet another extremely popular character Sayid.
Yeah... way to go writers!!
Now all you need is that big ole blinking neon sign above her head that says "HATE HER" and it'll all be set!
Cool, I'm not the only one who thinks so. I had a friend who grabbed me by the shoulders and told me, "I hate her!!"
I told her, "You're supposed to!"
When I'm back in school, I will paraphase your quote :p
