Okay I'm in the Lost Desert, in the palace of ancient kings, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for the Revenant! o_O

Rohane lvl 34, and very close to 35
Critical Attacks 10: Crushing Impact (+2)
Damage Increase 10: Matchless Agility
Stunning Strikes 3: Daunt (+1)
Innate Magic Resistance 5: Magical Protection II
Innate Melee Haste 5: Rapid Movements II

Mipsy lvl 34, very close to 35 as well
Direct Damage 12: Destroy (+3)
Group Haste 4: Swiftness
Damage Shields 4: Wall of Snow
Innate Melee Defense 6: Avoid Danger III (+3)
Innate Casting Haste 6: Rapid Invocation III

Talinia lvl 35
Increased Bow Damage 11: Oaken Calm
Multiple Targets 6: Third Arrow
Ranged Attacks 5: Distant Strike
Shockwave 6: Ill Omen
Innate Magic Resistance 3: Magic Resistance III (+3)
Innate Melee Haste 3: Melee Haste III

Velm lvl 35
Group Healing 14: Rejuvenation
Group Shielding 2: Protective Fence
Mesmerization 5: Charm
Celestial Hammer 8: Master Mason
Innate Melee Defense 1: Melee Defense I
Innate Casting Haste 4: Rapid Invocation I

I need some help! and I'm on Normal, and trying to train to level 36 for everyone, so I can defeat the Revenant quicker! :D

the revenant is probably the easiest boss in the chapter. as long as youre steady with your group healing, you shouldnt fall. focus your attacks on the boss and not the skeletons; they wont do much compared to velms ability. you could go for it right now if you want.

I'm almost near the Revenant, I'm trying to get to level 40 by chapter 3, the Gebarn II guy was hard because he healed so much! :)

Thanks for the help Fool Hi! and have you completed the game on Normal, or Evil?

I'm not too sure if I agree with your skill choices patrick, but I guess its too late to change now.

For me, I maxed out damage increase for Rohane, then added 5-6 stunning. After that, I added 8-10 melee haste, and then Criticals and stunning, leaving magic resistance for last (you dont really need this until hubrid nox's area)

For Mipsy, I upped casting haste and group haste first before touching melee defense.

For Taliana, I didnt put any skills on shockwave. I did bow damage, multiple targets (till 4th arrow), then melee haste and ranged attacks, again leaving magic resistance till last (see rohane)

For Velm, I didnt put any points on celestial hammer until the very end, and used group shielding (the +30 defense really helps keep damage from enemies down).

The way I played, speed was an important factor, as during acts 3-4 I was able to attack twice before the enemy attacked me once.

I spent 6 points on Velms Celestial Hammer, which is quite useful against enemies, but useless against bosses. Mipsys already maxed out direct damage because of her wand or robe. Rohanes got 10 points on melee damage, and 11 on critical attacks, around 7 on haste, and magic resistance.
As for Talinia, I'm focusing on her shockwave, haste, damage increase, multiple targets, and ranged attacks.

Thanks for your theory, endeavourl!

Does anyone know of a website with a complete walkthrough, the way IDNQ has for Neoquest I?

I like to use that site, as well as the digifort site for NQ2.
The Geocities site, has some good bits, like what level to be at before bosses etc

Well, that was that.

Silicast killed me this afternoon on the insane level. This was my third attempt at insane, but the first time I've died after getting Mipsy. Needless to say, I'm devastated.

Sorry to hear that. It's taking me forever just to level up to fight zombom on insane, but then again, I play ultra conservative, so to gain health, I fight battles and flee for those 7hp you gain back after a battle instead of using healing potions.

I don't flee battles, but I use normal mode and walk around to raise a little hp between battles at all times. It was hell to raise enough experience to go against ZomBom and I only barely made it. It's going to be twice as hard to work up the motivation to do it again. I don't even want to see NQ II right now.

I know what you mean. Even right now, both neoquests are a nightmare. The only thing keeping me going is the prize that you get at the end. I only wish that there was a sneaking option in neoquest II like in neoquest I. That would make the game so much nicer. And there isnt any point in staying at any of the inns during insane right, as the game starts over when you die?

I agree that the digifort site is very helpful, but I use a different strategy when allocating my points... a point that is often ignored is that your skills can only increase to 15. For instance, Mipsy's direct damage does a maximum of 100 points of damage at level 15. Then, if you get a weapon that increases her direct damage skill, those points are wasted!!! A better strategy is to increase key skills to maximum of 11 points to take advantage of the weapon bonuses when you get them. An article in issue 185 of the neopian times covers this topic and gives what I consider to be excellent advice concerning training. Now, if I could figure out how to get Evil mode to give me something besides the Tooth of Terask, I'd be happy! ( At least I got the wand on my insane game)!!!

Oh that's horrible against Silicast, what level were you? Hopefully well over 30, because I was around 32 on Normal, and I'm still playing it, but I think neopet's boring now. You've got Talinia, so I would use her moves to stun Silicast, Mipsy to attack, and let Rohane slow him down, damage potions, heal, and attack, that's what I basically did, and I won easily! :D

But the Gebarn II guy is way harder for me, because he had 250 hp left, Mipsy cast obliterate on him, it did 100 damage, and he healed again!

It's so annoying when he does that, but after you get Velm, it gets so easy, and when I face 1 enemy, for me, it feels like it takes 5 minutes, because of the constant missing, and then switching to another character. :)

Ok, a question for everybody: isn't each Neopet supposed to have it's own game of NQ / NQII? I'm asking because a while ago, I finished Normal with my Quiggle (only pet), and I then started Evil, but quickly lost interest. Then, my Quiggle turned Plushie through the Fountain Faerie. Not wanting to expose her to the risk of Boochie (turns your pet Baby), or the other 2 events that change your pet's colour, I created a new pet, Hazimel the Aisha, to use as my active pet. I now restarted Evil, but when I commenced, the game was were I left it with my Quiggle. It's not a bad thing, of course, but it is weird. Any thoughts?
