I got like 3 warnings for joking that you can turn an HoD into a SuaP.

Back in the day, the boards used to be mellow.

Dang commercialization brought a bunch of report happy homeschooled prancing pony petting Avatar Chatting "my pets are prettier than yours" little brats!

I spend a lot of time on the Neoboards but I have never recieved a warning or suspension. You just have to be careful what you say. I always avoid posting on spam boards. A lot of times I read over them as the conversation is going on, but I never make witty remarks because it seems like people are now getting frozen for that. I don't think TNT would warn you for absolutely no reason.

That's going in my sig. It's just too fantastic to pass up.

I'm sorry, though, about getting frozen for other people's idiocy and lack of a sense of humor.

Oh I love it when people blame it on others who are "report happy". Hate to break it to you, Neopets does monitor the site and they do take things just as seriously. You don't have to be reported to get a warning and the fact that you're sitting there doing childish name-calling shows exactly what sort of mentality you have ;D

Also, I find it very offensive your little comment about people who are homeschooled. I'm not, but I know a lot of people who are homeschooled for reasons which involve either going to a public school and getting beaten, attacked, etc. or getting homeschooled and most of them are just as smart, if not smarter, than most of the kids who go to public/private schools.

Example number #1, they fight back. They just can't absorb the information, everything has to be rebutted.

I am not here for an arguement. I am just sick to my stomach of how the Neoboards have mutilated into such a horrid scene.

Absolutely Agreed! Even if there are some exceptions on TNT freezing for no reason, I like to be a lurker on the boards usually how to find the newest avatar or if anyone in the game board is up for a Game Challenge. Discretion is the key word.

I'm homeschooled, 15, and doing a duel-credit program to get two years of college credit while finishing my last two high school. Which translates to: I’m a reasonably smart person. When I rarely do post on the neoboards, its in a NQII chat, or helping someone on a newbie/help board(when someone actually posts something pertaining to neopets. >_O). I'm a rather reasonable person, and frequently have to act like an adult in many real life situations. I suppose I'm getting rather off-topic of the topic here, but c'mon, don'tcha think your original statement is overstepping some boundaries? The vast majority of the homeschoolers I've met are very well behaved people. Don't diss homeschoolers. I don't like what the neoboards have become just as much as every other person. I would much rather they be a decent place to have conversations....I joined neopets more than 2 1/2 years ago(Yikes, that sounds scary to me for some reason. O_o) and I do remember the neoboards from back then...they weren’t GREAT, but there was no avatars...you could have font colors, yes, some were hard to read, but it was nice to try and find your own creative combo...the boards weren’t so report happy, and there were more decent people. I wish they were like that again. Go back even further, and they were probably better.

He isn't saying that all homeschooled people are lke these just like he isn't saying that all "prancing" people are of this kind and that all "pony petting" are of this kind. Anyway I hope this arguement doesn't escalade so just waiting for that mod in shining armour to come along

If you really didn't want an argument, you'd avoid posting inflammatory remarks. Right or wrong, you know that your last sentence is going to upset them further, so why post it?

There's a number of PPTers who have been to the NeoBoards, chat reguarly, and have not recieved a single warning or suspension.

So, I don't really think it's confirmed.


Everyone says the NBs are OMG SO EVIL OH NOES11!!!! and that you'll lose your account... that's not true. As long as you stay away from the obvious bad topics, and don't break the rules, it's fine >.>
