I wasnt sure where in this forum to post this, so if a mod wants to move it, then do it.

I am so frustrated. Anytime I have ever tried to adopt a pet, never, ever is there one over level 1 listed. However, I was in the process of trying to transfer my level 30 something uni and within a 1000th of a second (in the middle of the day on a weekday), it was gone!

Now you tell me....is TNT hoarding them? Do they take them out of circulation? The person that got mine had joined "that day". I neomailed him and neomailed him and got no response. His stats have not changed.

Hmmmmm????/

Pets that are high stat or limited edition or painted are snapped up in under a second from the pound as to get a pet that way costs money. If someone gets it from the pound they don't have to spend those neopoints getting the pet to that stage/colour etc.

There are however quite a few non level 1 pets in the pound (though few over say level 10) as many are the results of lab zapping. The pound is a dangerous place to try and transfer your pet, there are auto adopter programs people use to snatch up desirable pets. And even without those there are plenty of pound snipers and sitters who are quite happy to "steal" your pet and won't ever contact you back. I'm very sorry you lost your uni.

My point is, how does anyone ever see it? If I never see them, how do they?

They see it the same way you see any other pet in the pound. High-level pets show up in the pound just like level one pets do.

The reason you rarely see any level 30 pets is that there aren't very many in the pound to begin with and that they don't stay there long -- they're usually transfers of some sort and are therefore adopted again quickly.

However, there are so many people refreshing in the pound at any given time that while the chance of any one person seeing it is very small, the chance of someone seeing it is reasonably high.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet, though. :-(
