For anyone who really wants a guaranteed win against Razul (and not a draw, which seems to work just as well) use a Thick Smoke Bomb (15k) + the weapon you chose from Nuria. The TSB should absorb all the damage from Razul's attack for one round while Nuria's weapon knocks him down to 0 hitpoints... and viola, a win.

Unfortunately, TSB are one use, so its up to you if beating him is worth 15k or not.

Ok, so I just checked, and the only scroll that wasn't on any maps was one I wrote down as Ruki Archieves. I'm gonna go recheck to make sure I checked it right.

Since I play with my daughter, I let her do the fight at her place and upon my advice she took her favourite pet but not her strongest.

Here are the stats :

Catomano Baby Kougra

points 52
strength 52
defense 51
mobility 51
intelligence 161

BD Stats

Played : 18
Won : 16
Lost : 2
Drawn : 0
Score : 101053

The score got a whooping 100,000 extra as a result of winning against Razul. Have you noticed that before?

i;m still confused on how to read scrolls for the second crystal

The sceond crystal isn't that hard.
1) go to your city, and get the lights
2) match them to your tablet like the 1st crystal
3)cross out blanks and ones that stayed the same
4) reading bottom to top and right to left, find the first symbol.
5) lets say it's a *Green Sun*. And lets say on top of your first crystal, the colors were *R-Y-B*.
6)Green=yellow+blue, so you'd go to the directory(its different) and figure out where the yellow(yellow first because it came first on top of the first crystal) sun is.
7)go there, read the yellow sun scroll.
8)do steps 6 and 7 for the blue sun scroll.
9) you'll get a message with a new location in it.
10) go there and read the green sun symbol. You won't get a message, though.

Just replace the stuff in *'s with your own information.

You're right, it's not that hard, but you are wrong about one thing. When working on this crystal, you go by the color order of your catalogs, not what your old crystal was.

Oh, sorry!

I hazard a guess towards Artisan Licensing Records, Rukis.

I have a (psychological) theory on how to Win against Razul vs. Draw with him. Perhaps more that Won can post their stats, as well as the weapon they chose?

I first noticed that there were 3 we all could choose from, "a mighty sword", a"pretty wand" and a "smart spear". I also noticed that I, as well as many users (and hence their pets usually) chose "Intelligence" (spear of wisdom) as I value that in life over Appearance (wand of vanity) or Strength (sword of brutality), and therefore the Spear. Someone suggested they beat Razul with only a Wooden Blocking Shield and Regular Attack, using the Spear (representing such). I wonder if that user/pet also values intelligence as that same user suggested "maybe the cheapest weapons are most effective." I suggest for the users/pets that value Intelligence and choose a Spear, that is very logical. For those that are well groomed and choose the Wand, use Illusens Mud or something? And for they masses that might choose the strong, mighty sword that is more prominent in psychology as being useful in a "real war" these users might have to rely on the Strength of their pet and choose a powerful weapon (which hopefully, since they value such, would not be an issue, unless a they are new user/developing pet). I ended up being Naive/Foolish instead of Wise. I chose the Spear, and my pet is Intelligent, but I chose to try "brute force" instead of "smart fighting." Hope this makes sense. My mind is very tired from this plot. :oops:

Theory Summary: if you are a strong pet and value strength, try a "brute force" tactic with Razul; if you are a well-groomed pet, use a "grooming weapon" and if you value Intelligence, by all means don't be hasty and think twice before you try to use brute force or a grooming weapon. :P

In the Battledome do Intelligence and mobility play a factor in how we are beating Razul?

Otherwise does it make a difference to train our pets or no in these areas if we don't gain an advantage from it?

One of our pets Chatobibo has 183 pts but as a result of the lab ray has an abysmally low defense(7) , while the other a painted Baby Kougra doesn't use the lab so as not the lose its paint, has been trained painfully at the Training School. Two different ways to train a pet, two different stats.

You are intelligent but also very strong. My intuition tells me, based on my very early theory, mind you, is that perhaps the best for you is the sword/strength/scimitar, especially since your additional comment that you are ready with a smoke bomb suggests a "battle mentality" (full on go go go fight, if you know what i mean, versus a "hmmmm, now how should i go about this, pause, think ahead, plan" mentality).

I could be wrong, and admit I am compiling stats, my theory is young. But if we all only get one change at Razul, it might be worth it to determine a pattern to obtain a Win versus a Draw (since that equals 100,000 points in the Battledome).

EDIT: I might go further to suggest that young users/pets are most equivalent to and "Intelligent" since logically one might not be able to afford the best weapons early on, and whatever they could afford they would have to use "smart-ly." ;) Here are my stats; I already told you of my "blunder."

Strength : GREAT (33)
Defence : GREAT (27)
Move : GREAT (22)
Intelligence : ULTIMATE GENIUS (168)

I chose the Spear but instead used a "brute force" tactic, so ended up in a Draw (not a Win).

To beat Razul, you only need to survive one round. The blocking abilities SINK and BURROW are key! Burrow is probably best: it will block everything except light and dark. The starlight potion is cheap and blocks 100% of dark icons. I dont believe Razul has any light attacks, so you should get an easy win that way. I used Sink (which blocks all but earth and air) and a leaf shield (blocks earth pretty well) leaving me vulnerable to air which Razul does use some, but I only took 14 damage!
My pet's stats:
strength=94
defence=94
level=65
but I don't think the stats are of any real importance in this fight. Block the damage and let your nuria weapon take him out!!

If you don't have the blocking faerie abilities, a thick smoke bomb will block all damage and give you the win; but it's one use only, and a bit expensive. It wouldn't cost much more to buy the faeries needed for the burrow ability.

I don't have Burrow, and will not shell out the NP for it, since I am not a battler by nature. I Lost one and used the Starlight Potion the next time around for a Draw. I took a couple to few hundred HP damage each time. ( Health : 18 / 18 )

I have the ability burrow at level 1 I also have smoke screen at level 1.. Im willing to try out your early theory.. Brute force coupled with burrow... I hope it does the trick

We chose the Scimitar of Eternal Dawn and got a win with a defense of 51 52 pts, intelligence of 161 (approx).

from that I don't see a pattern emerging from who gets 100,000 battledome score or not.

If this confirmed that those who got a draw don't get the 100,000 pts?
