My new symbols are a little different...

= Pek
= Ur
= Daq
= Tik
= Don
= Zer
= Qa
= Kor
= Gan
= Ak

So does everybody have a different combination of... however many total... so we each have our own set of 10?

Also, I'm assuming the 'qas' in the image URLs means we're translating Qasalan now. Goodie.

Was hopin that this and this would have something useful/interesting to say for themselves in the source/properties. Nope, they're just called white dot and black dot, nothing like right dot and wrong dot etc.

Great, I have to turn off my adbuster again. *grimaces* I don't have white or black dots, just the number "6" under each piece.

and to top it all off, there are 12 spaces, nine runes, and each rune has the number 6 under it.

For me its the number 8

...Wait. I just checked my tablet again to figure out what all these blacks and whites are that everyone's talking about (I didn't remember seeing them), and now I'm seeing my old tablet again. But my fortune teller message is the same, and I still have the scroll in my inventory...

I do remember that each of my 10 new symbols had a 4 under it, but that's it...

If I just completely lost my first clue before I even had a chance to use it, someone's gonna get kicked HARD.

I have an empty tablet (16 gaps), below it are 7 different runes (1 not on the list posted just now), each with the number 8 below it, no dots at all that I can see.

Try clicking on one of your symbols at the bottom and then on an empty spot on your tablet, filling all the holes

Also: if you change your combination, you still get the same white/black dot thing, no matter which symbols you put on whichever place...

Wah. Is this TNT's cruel joke on us for complaining about the lame/fake end? And for those of us refusing to fight in a war, and *wanting* more puzzles? Okay now I know I have seen these same "scrawled" symbols, but what on? Not the Gift Shop; not the Qasalan tablets in the Tomb. A game? Where the heck were they? I just woke up and shouldn't be thinking yet.

They are in the comic, chapter 10 page 3ish. But nothing is happening with them.

My tablet has 16 spaces, I have 8 runes and they all have the number 8 under them..

hmmm, so where are the fragments to fill in THIS tablet.... UGHH

I'm quite sure that the white dot is "right shape, right space" and the black dot is "right shape, wrong place".

I think Black is right but in the wrong place, white is right and right, and no dot is "This piece of garbage doesn't belong in the tablet at all, numbskull."

I can verify this.

Look above your new tablet. (http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/translator.phtml)

If you have a white dot with a black ring around it, then you have placed a symbol correctly. If you have a totally black dot, then you have placed a correct symbol, but in the wrong place. If you do not have 16 dots, then some of the symbols you have placed in the tablet will not be on the tablet at all at the end of the day.

Once you have completed the tablet, you will go to the fortune teller and she will give you a pat on the back and nothing else.

You will not get an identical one-for-one translation in any direction from Sakhmetian to Qasalan characters. Just because a character means one thing in one place does NOT mean it will mean the same thing in another place.

This was surprisingly easy to figure out. Just click on one place, and try placing the various characters in that one place until you get a new white dot. Work your way down the tablet until you've figured it out.
