Okay, people who have their lights/know their color pattern on the wall:

What have you tried?

Last night a couple of members tried matching the color pattern up with their mysterious tablets and using the card catalog to find the corresponding scrolls. (So if their first light was blue and their first symbol was lat, they'd go to the repository room listed beside lat in the blue card catalog.) The problem is that once they were there, they weren't sure which scroll to read -- should it be a blue lat, or a lat of some other color, or a different symbol (their faerie symbol, maybe)? What if there were a few blue lats, or a few faerie symbols? This is where we've been stuck since then.

But the card catalog has to mean something. We just have to figure out if it's the only thing we need, or if there's something else.

I think since the light stays on for an hour that we're suppose to be doing something within that hour. What I don't know.

With the light on maybe try talking to the chef, the fortune teller or going through the 12 scrolls on your tablet.

I finally got the light but it's out now. I'll have to wait until I can get it again.

how many different symbols do you have on your tablet?

I have 8. Which means I'm missing 4 symbols (kha, ben, ahn & lat)

What about the model city? Can anyone make sense of the buildings in that?

If that's the case, I'm in trouble. I can't even get a light! I don't think neopets would allow a disadvantage like that.

I believe the model city is there just so we can get our light pattern. I don't think there's anything else to do in that room (I could be wrong, but it does seem to serve just the one purpose -- get the light and project your pattern).

Im just taking a few steps back and trying to think of things that werent activated in the past that could be now..

Just with those library scrolls in the temple of 1000 tombs.. Im wondering if the meanings of them are relevant to what scrolls we should be reading...

does anyone else think this whole light this is rather unfair?

Supposing its random, and 24 hours then that means some poor kids have their light turned on a 4 in the morning.
Now even supposing its 12 hours.

Most kids would be at school in the afternnon and in bed in the evening for the whole 10-4 range.

8 hours?
you still have a6 AM,2 PM,10PM time gap that would be hard to some to fill.

Im blessed to be able to get on neo pretty much anytime thats not an unreasonable hour. Others cant. If you can only get on one hour of the day, and thats not your hour, then its really unfair!

Dirtside is the real deal. So, we must focus our attention to figuring out the next things to try.

Like I said awhile back .... here is what I personally tried.

1) Reading all scrolls from my card catalog (Note: I did not do this in any sort of order). (Also Note: I did this *before* seeing the lights)

Result: Nothing special.

2) Reading the scolls from the card catalog that corresponded to the lights on the wall and the symbols on my tablet (16 color places ... 16 symbols on the tablet). Seemed logical. I just skipped the blank ones.

Result: Nothing special.

3) Skipping my first blank, and read the scrolls that corresponded to the colors and symbols along the wall (Flawed to begin with, because I didn't notice that my lights began with a blank ... so 16 color places and 15 wall symbols makes it hard to do in a logical way)
Result: From what I did ... Nothing special.

4) Statue: I've tried telling the prophecy again to Nuria
Result: Standard scarabing

Problem: Many of these lines of reasoning make it such that you have to read the same scroll twice in a row. Seems kind of weird ... but perhaps it will need to be done.

Ideas that I have throwing around in my head this afternoon while I work.

1) The 3 symbols on the side wall. There are 3 colors on top of the useless crystal. Perhaps these are related somehow.

2) The library scrolls in the temple. We haven't really used them yet. The 12 hour lockout makes trying them hard .... but it isn't like you get locked out of the repository. I am hesitant to do this, since it seems like it was important to have read the faerie statue scroll last for other parts of the plot.

3) Some other combination of scrolls in card catalog / lights on wall. Maybe reversing the order.

4) The "blank" spots on the wall. Perhaps we need to find a way to make spots appears in all places. I do think all the colors will end up red/yellow/blue, since those are the scrolls we can look up in the card catalog.

No good ideas that *MUST* be tried ... but I will poke around in the repository for awhile.

Dirtside has spoken, though ... this part of the plot is waiting to be solved. So let's do it, fellow PPT'ers. Let's do IT!

Is there anyway to distinguish the statue door in the temple?

You know, the fair thing got me thinking. Maybe the light doesn't have anything to do with moving on. Maybe we're waiting on the light for nothing!

Unfortunatley not, you just have to keep trying until you get it.

Quick answer: you can't distinguish the symbol above it, but you can figure out the shape/color from the riddle. See first post.

You bring up an extremely important point, though. There are parts along the way in this plot we had to "guess"

For instance, the symbol *above* our faerie door.

Perhaps looking back will help us (as SSandGirls is pointing out a few posts back)
