Has it been fully confirmed that everyone has the same scroll racks?
Just for a test, here's my scroll rack at 2nd floor, Row 23, Column 2 (right by the Chef):

They're all different (as expected).
edit: btw, you all know about the different types of the scrolls, do you? there are actually 5 different shapes, they're not all the same.

What's the fifth? Going by the design at the top, I see right-facing, fat-left-facing, thin-left-facing, and straight.
Edit: Ohhh, I see it, a fat-right-facing. Darnit, now I have to change data...
(Yes, I have begun recording the location of every single scroll... I must be insane.)

I've tried reading the same scroll over and over, and have gotten different responses to the scroll. So so far, I dont think that reading the scrolls does anything.
I have also found my fairy statue symbol and color (yellow ra).

So, are we going on the assumption that we have to read only the scrolls with our faerie statue symbol on it? I have always thought that there was more to the faerie statue. Has anyone tried reading the scrolls and then going to the statue? My particular door for the faerie statue was a grey triangle. I was thinking that I should look for a scroll with a grey color and a chick on it and then go back to the statue. ??????

Just a reminder of things.
Scroll racks are different for everyone in the repository. So we can't "trade information" about where to find certain scrolls.
Some people had to go behind a black door to get to their faerie. There are no black colored scrolls in the repository, so I highly doubt that the faerie door color/symbol are important. The faerie symbol might be important ... the door symbol might be important ... but the color cannot be.
There are 5 different "shapes" of scrolls, 7 different colors, and 12 different symbols. People are reporting that they are having a hard time finding certain color/symbol combinations.
When you read a scroll, it puts up what seems to be a random message ... along with something that says "Your pet reads the scroll and hopefully learns something!" I have never seen it say something different on the 2nd line. That might be a clue, if we ever read something that doesn't say exactly that on the 2nd line.
The LC letters happen to have the same colors as scrolls in the repository. I personally don't think there is anything to it ... but some are trying to make anagrams out of the different colors.
The "hidden" stairway is on the 5th floor, in the SouthEast corner. You can follow a path down to the 3rd floor ... where if you try to go down to the 2nd floor, you end up at the "normal" stairway.
There is a 2nd set of stairs on the 2nd floor, and on the first floor, there is a new stairway we can't get to, as well. I assume once it is "enabled" ... we will be able to take this new path to somewhere different in the repository.
I haven't personally tried reading all 420 types of scrolls ... some people are attempting that. Some people are just trying to read one of each color/symbol (making only 84 different ones).
The useless crystal is probably something that will be used in the future, as well ... it has been talked about as a "keycard" or as "armor" ... I think it might help against getting scarab'd at the faerie statue in some way in the future. Who knows.

No proof, but from the racks I've looked at I'm pretty sure there's never more than one of each color/symbol combination(ex/ no more than one blue saf).
I'm pretty far on finding all of mine, down to maybe 20-25 color/symbol combinations that I haven't found all 5 shapes of and I believe 7 that I haven't found any of(I'm on my mom's laptop at the moment, my dad's downloading something on my comp so I can't get to my lists, sorry I don't have any exact info at the moment). To whoever it was who was asking about blues, I've found all five shapes of my blue symbol.

There isn't a whole lot that can be tried.
I tried mixing it with a handful of sand at Jhudiah's cooking pot. That didn't work.
Someone reported that they had theirs stolen by the pant devil ... but the yurble foreman gave them a 2nd one.
People have tried taking it to the toy repair shop, some place in brightvale ... nothing happened in those places, though.
You can't put it in your shop, but you can put it in your gallery. You can't donate it ... but it looks like you can discard it. I haven't tried discarding it, though.
