Hear Me

Hear my emotions

Running through my body

My sadness

My joy

And everything else

See into my eyes

Read them like a book

Then understand

Light the fire

And release my soul



Hear my happiness

Hear me laugh

Hear me play

Joy is a little bit away

Keep on searching

Because it’ll come

You’ll find it one day

And when you reach it

Enjoy it

Because you never know

When it’ll go away



Hear my sadness

The tears that I choke back

You can hear the tears

Dropping

Dropping

Onto this empty world

Like everything has gone

Swallowed up

Into the void

Of nothingness



Hear my anger

A fire in my soul

Everything is unfair

Can’t you see it?

It makes no sense

I’m tired of sitting back

So for once

I’ll fight it

A fire in my eyes

Reading to spring forward
