Just thought this might warrant posting. I have found that if you try to place items on the smeared lines (stolen pieces) it might let you place it there...but now it seems more often then not it will say that someone stole the furniture. Ontop of that I have lost 3 pieces of furniture by doing that. When I then go and try to place it on a regular spot it acts as if I don't have any furniture. So I would suggest following the procedure as close as possible. Grab, ID/ED (points for whoever came up with that... not just any ED here ...definently a Special ED) then put it on a solid line on the right floor.

I think he jsut looks weird. And tired. How 'bout he takes a break and lets us all put the furniture where we want to for a while?

He and she doesn't matter. What matters it that it is a -edited- jerk for making us travel all around the repository with heavy furniture. I still believe my cry for som -edited- serfs is well founded.

JasEdit: Edited for language.

Well now I have a table, but I'm debating with myself I I should just call it a night and shut down my computer before any more damage happens. Yesterday It froze up about 3 times and today once. Yesterday when i first booted it it showed my boot system and said some setting in my boot up was changed. It seemed to think I had unix or linix instead of windows xp.

Oh well. My pet will stay where it is and I can pick up where I left off later, right?

sounds like your master boot record might just be messed .. especially if there ever was linux on it, and or if you formatted with something other than the disk you originally formatted your hard drive with

ez fix: boot from your XP CD, if u have it (make sure oyur BIOS is set to not boot from anything else, including "other device")

tables are the worst to try to place, followed by benches. I gave up on both after getting 15 of each placed.

The ID/ED is still on the 4th floor, but it's getting very difficult to reach him with all the scroll racks around him. So be on the lookout - he may be moving sooner than usual.

My count so far:

Scroll racks - 39
Stand lamps - 25
Table - 15
Bench - 15

Going for 100 pieces of furniture, but I am getting such a headache from the little "flashes" that have started happening when I click to move.

The only thing it had other than win xp professional was windows xp home. it's a compaq presaro. i don't think it ever had any of those other operating systems, unless the second hard drive had something on it?

My computer has two hard drives and the main drive is the D drive.

Tables are hard? i can try something easier.

Anyone else notice that the further you get from RuEd, that there are fewer placed items? I just had to go to the basement and most of the way there was empty. It seems to be that most people (myself included) just ditch their furniture and bolt. Just throwing that out there.

Oh yay. Finally got that bench in after refreshing at a blurry for 5 minutes. Of course, Ed HAD to send me to the 1st floor. Not the second. There were two open on the second between the stairs... think I'll stick to scroll racks now.
