I've been on neopets for about three months now and am pretty familiar with everything on the site except for the trading post. I want to buy a christmas paint brush but I don't how to use the trading post.

1) Do i need to have the object and/or np out of my safety deposit box or bank account to make an offer?

2) If so, am I without those np till that trade is over (like at the auction house)?

3) Once the trade is over and if i get th item do i have to do anything or does neopets do it automatically?

1) You need to have the money and an item out when you make the offer.

2) Once you've made the offer you'll be without those nps until the trade is accepted or rejected or you cancel. The item will still be in your inventory but marked as "Trading".

3) If your offer is successful the item will be put in your inventory and the trade accepted icon will appear in the top left of your screen. I'd recommend putting some junky items in your inventory to lower the chances of anything happening to the item before you deposit/use it - not that that is common, I'm just paranoid!
