It puts a nifty picture on your pet's lookup.

You can also get an avatar from one of them.

Mootix is expensive because it gives an avatar... otherwise it wouldn't be so expensive.

*likes his mootix*

I thought it was pretty well known that they do nothing. Petpets still technically do nothing as well.

Actually, in two-player battles if your petpet shows up its like getting a free berzerk attack without the extra damage to yourself and you don't need to choose it from the dropdown menu to get the bonus. They do absolutely nothing in on-player battles though.

Didn't they take that down for maintainance and never put it back?

No clue as I don't do two-player battles. But they at least did and were intended to do something, however suspect the relevance is to you.

I've been in quite a few battles lately, and my petpet never wanted to help my pet. :(
So I think that it's possible that they took it down for good. o_O

Yeah, they took it down for good. It used to be that using the petpet in the bd would increase your damage by 150% which is the same % increase using berserk has. The difference was that petpets increased damage per icon while berserk increases damage per attack.

They also then had it that petpet levels dicated how much extra damage your pet did - petpet level x attack = new attack. I think not long after that they scrapped petpets in the bd and petpet levels became useless.

Gosh, I didn't even know petpet levels had officially become useless, I thought I was just being snide about how they never seemed to do anything last time I saw one of mine in the BD.

Well I'd assume last time you saw one in the BD they did do something. Some people don't know that was what petpet levels were all about is all.

No, I knew what they were supposed to do, but I used to have a level 2 petpet and was able to select it as an attack on several ocassions, but never noticed any extra damage.
