I understand how you got the top row, but as you go through the doors, how do you know what letter the door takes you to? I mean, you have the second door in A 1 listed as Q 1. How do you know it is Q? I see you can scroll left and right, but you cant scroll up and down, so I just cannot figure out how you know what letter it is. I know I sound stupid, but I am having a hard time coming into this after most are already done.

The first room was the one you enter in. Then the rooms to the right are the ones that showed up when she clicked the arrows. All the other levels (If she did it the same way I did), are in no order other than it's the one that got clicked on next. The first hallway I clicked on in level A took me to another level, so I marked that B. I went all the way to the far left room, and mapped out from that room right. When I got to the far right room, I clicked on a hallway. If it made a new level, that became C. Make sense?

Yes, I think so. So after you click a hallway you have to scroll all the way across to make sure it isnt the same as a room you have already been to? Also, how do I do this in paint? Just copy paste and make smaller? I know it may take longer, but I have started 6 unreadable hand drawn maps lol

Ive been following this thread for a while, and I have to say it. To those who did handdrawn maps: Amazing :o
I just finished mapping last night with good old MS Paint, and Im currently running through my corridors in search of silver pentagons. No statue room yet though.
And since I love looking at all the different (and insanely confusing) ways people mapped their temples, Ill post my 5 hours of work too.

A grid method was the easiest for me to understand, so each empty black corridor is labeled to what cell of five doors it leads to.

I have been away for a week and I have not started to map my temple yet. Your map looks the easiest to read, but I am sort of lost. I understand how you got the top row, but as you go through the doors, how do you know what letter the door takes you to? I mean, you have the second door in A 1 listed as Q 1. Like you said, I mapped the entrance row with the arrows first, then scrolled to the far right and clicked the first black corridor. It took me back to the start of that same row, so I had nothing to map with that click. I just labeled that black corridor 'A-1.'

So, I went all the way to the far right again, and clicked the next black corridor. It led me to a new, uncharted row, and so I labeled that row B. Instead of going back to A, I just stayed in B, mapped that entire row using the arrows, and started my clicking from the first black corridor on the left. It led me to a new row, which I labeled C. And again, instead of going back to B to finish checking those black corridors, I stayed on row C and mapped its length. All the while, I kept labeling where each corridor was leading.

Hypothetically, a black corridor on row C might lead back to row A, but I never actually got to row C by going through row A. Basically, I darted around, and checked for duplicate doors. If there was no duplicate, I created a new row. That explains how there could be a W on row A. I didnt go from row A to row W. I went from W back to A. Sometimes I was working backwards. And sideways, and upways and rightways too.

That sounds insanely hard to follow. Sorry if you dont get it still =/

It made sense to me cerise, but we did the exact same thing lol. I did mine by hand with a few crayons and a pen. It was pretty easy, you just have to know how you're going to lay it out. And I simplified the symbols a bit...

I'm glad I drew my whole map, I can get to all 3 of my libraries in 4 steps. :)

susan, you mean a hallway? No, I didn't. All hallways should lead some where.

I tried to do it in paint and I am having no luck. I copied pic but it wouldnt let me paste to paint. Next I saved pic and then pasted to paint from location I saved. Only one door actually was saved, not the whole set of 5. Next I did something stupid. I tried to just save the second door (omg this would take forever) but in doing so, I clicked it and got trapped in a room. There has to be an easier way. Can anyone explain please?

Okay, I understand about the Fortune Teller, tablet, and the doors.... but where is the riddle people are talking about? It's not on any of the above mentioned pages, in either Mozilla or IE...

How did you copy the picture?
Try making a screenshot using the "print scrn" button on your computer...

The riddle is on the temple's front page:
http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/temple.phtml
Under the picture there are two lines in italic: that's your riddle.

Casi, open up Paint. Swap to your browser. Press your PRINT SCREEN key. Swap to Paint. Press CTRL+V. Crop out the non-hallway part, possibly by selecting the hallway part, pressing CTRL+C, making a new Paint window, then pressing CTRL+V.

SnowWolf75, your poem thing is on the main page of the Temple, underneath the Day/Night Temple picture.

Well, I scanned in my map... it was all nice and handdrawn and easy for me to understand... just not always easy for me to read. I should have chosen the thinner felt-tip pen, I really should have.

Mine's here.

Thank you for all the help. I will try this as soon as I can get back in the temple.

I am going to scream! if I refresh on a room in the temple it takes me into the door I last entered.
Say I went into the first hallway, if I were to refresh on the next room i would automatically go into the first door, wiether its a hallway or not. and more often then not I get trapped. thats why i thought hallways lead to dead ends. now I've got to map all over again!

This is a confirmation of a theory I've read here.. few pages back I think? I've been stalking a few boards so bear with me if it's a mistake and it's not here!

I've found my faerie statue behind a red rectangular door with a "Lat" symbol (cup-like) over it. The symbol on the faerie is Djo (tree-like).

So I went ahead to the library and read a scroll with the Djo symbol on it.. and it says:
Quote:
You tentatively step forward and take one of the scrolls.

Your pet understands the scroll and gains a little insight.
Then a trap door opens under your feet and you find yourselves thrown out of the temple onto the desert sands.

I've bolded it just to point out that it's different from just reading a scroll. I remember it used to say "Your pet reads the scroll and gains a little insight."

Hmm.. so.. what did it really understand? o______O

i have a couple theories and a couple questions. first pencil did you get any tablets filled in. now my theories. we have to find the faeiry first. then read that scroll. then maybe read that scroll again. does the symbol on the faiery change after understanding. has anyone read an actual scroll. not a library scroll. anyone who had understands, did anything change for you at all.
