Set contests are really clogging up the NNV board. I was wondering if it would be possible to have a separate board for them or even a sub-forum thing?

This has been discussed several times, the last thread being here. I think splitting games (words games, WW games, etc.) and contests and giveaways into two seperate places would help out a lot. Before the forums went down and had to restart they were split into subforums and it worked out excellently.

Yes, I also think seperating them is a good idea. Especially as the word games are posted on so regularly, the contest threads are constantly being pushed down (like mine x.X).

I'm agreeing with Jade. Unfinished set contests often get pushed back to the second page.

I did a little info searching with the most popular boards and here's what I found:

Those are the most popular boards I would say. As you can see, NNV is clearly the second most used board. If it was split into two different boards (both with no post increment, of course), the divided post count is just slightly under the third most popular board (which would then be second).

NNV is so crowded right now. After the forum was redone and new boards were added, Entertainment was split into 6 different boards which altogether have about 29% less than the number of posts in NNV (numbers used: Ent - 38,171 & NNV - 54,672). Art has 3 boards which altogether have 80% less posts then NNV (numbers used: Art - 10,743 & NNV - 54,672). If these boards can be split, why not NNV? Those boards create far less activity, yet they were seperated.

Words games and contests & giveaways have nothing to do with one another. They are seperate topics. All we are asking is that they are given their room so the games will have their space and the contests theirs. If it's a question of work, I would gladly offer my services to seperate the two. As a matter of fact, my dad is taking the girls again next week, so I would have time to do it. It seems NNV keeps getting neglected while other parts of the forum keep getting more attention. We'd just like our fair share. Please, once again, consider splitting these topics into two boards as they were before PPT went down last year. Thank you very much.

I like the idea of splitting up NNV would be a very good thing. It would also help the moderators too by splitting them up. I'm all for it

I actually think splitting them is a good idea. I don't usually visit there too much, but the more I do the more I see that everything is a bit jumbled. And, really, what is the harm in trying it out to see how it goes? Just give the parts a trial separation. Let them experience life on their own, go new places, see other people and if they both curl up into little balls and die then you can just smush them back together, no harm done. I'm sure you all could handle it
