Hmmm... I hadn't really looked at world challenges before, but after seeing someone get an island paint brush decided to give it a poke.

The main thing I have problems with is that there are few games I am really good at... I managed a 1st and top score at Pterattack... think that might end up being my main game, although I need to see what average scores are being given for other games as well...

Collecting these pictures may take a while.

I think that after you complete a picture it should be wiped so you can start again.

Image Yeah, Ledi needs a new sig...

So I have been playing these games forever to no avail...not one piece yet in any world. (silly me, thought I was good at some of the games)

Question: would it be worth my while to buy one set of pictures, get the prize and then trade them for another and so on? the set of meridell goes for about 550k. Anybody willing to make a deal?

Unfortunatly, once you convert an image and get the prize, you cannot remove them, which means you can't trade or sell them. :(

Ledi and Susannah - the world challenge is very challenging to me too! There are very few games that I'm even adequate at, let alone great.

I don't know, I've looked at some of the high scores for the hour for certain games and I have NO idea how these people are scoring so high. The new Kiko Match for example. Ever since they changed (read: ruined) that game (which used to be a favorite of mine), the best I can get is around 500.

And petpetsitter. I'm sure many of you are good at that games, but when I see scores of over 7000 I just have to wonder what kind of computer/hand-eye coordination people have!

Plus, I didn't know until yesterday that you could keep submitting scores for the challenge after your normal 3 sent scores  , so I've been missing some opportunities to at least try to get a few of the pieces.

DON'T take the risk, hon.
I did, lost 280.8k and wound up with 2k + a Purple Petpet Paint Brush.

Selling those sets for 550k is stupid. The randomness of it all will send you broke LONG before you get something great out of those things >>;

The only reason I was thinking about that is because I thought you could resell them...I wouldn't dream of it now. I did get my first picture piece though! In Tug-o-war, Which is strange because I lost one match and won the other before getting tired and quiting!

But wouldn't that mean an infinite source of paintbrushes?

Plus, you're also working hard for them. *shrug* It'd be nice, and it's not like the chances of getting a paintbrush are good enough anyways.

I found in order for me to get peices in other worlds some games are easier to start right at the top of the hour. If your not staying up in the top then it's a waist of time. Move on to another game look for one that only has 3-5 players in it then you have a better chance even if you are not good at that game.

I always have a full set of space peices if anyone ever wants to buy sale or trade.

After I completed the Neopia Central picture, I promised myself I would take a break from world challenges..
Of course, Neopets had to release that typing game and ever since, I've been hooked. I got three pieces for the space station so far, and I would really reccommend trying this world challenge because most of the time 40+ (I've seen it go up to 80 people playing) people are playing and if you win around 2 or 3 games you're usually going to get a piece.. I usually win if I send a score of 3000 or higher.

If you're not good at this game, you should really look for a game with less people because of the greater chances to win. If I don't win on my first try of any game, I find it completely pointless to try again because you'll just have to go from -1, to 0, to 1, and by that time there will probably be winners with 2+ wins.

I really love this system because the more people who are playing, the more winners there are and most of the time there's 10+ winners for this game. I too believe that it's better to join at the very start of the hour because by the end of the hour, not a lot of scores are being processed and many people will have already had multiple wins, and this goes for all world challenges.

I have to say that TNT was smart to limit the pictures to being collected once per account...

I can earn all 20 pieces of Neopia Central in 2 days easily by playing Mootix Drop...

I'm getting rich quite quickly, thank you :)

It is an excellent moneymaker, and finally a way for gameplayers to compete (well, sort of) with restockers. I've sold a bunch of Meridell and Tyrannia pieces for around 800K total, plus I have a full copy of the Tyrannia picture at all times, and I traded one more for a Meridell picture (only won a prize worth 40K, though). Selling is the way to go.

Piece prices are deflating, though.
