From MuchMusic.com,

Quote:
Gwen Stefani could have a second solo album out this year. The No Doubt frontwoman has returned to the studio with Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes. The pair are recording new tracks and are re-vamping songs recorded during the Love, Angel, Music, Baby sessions.

I thought she would've left it at one solo album. I personally have no problem with her releasing another album, I do like her solo material. But one thing is bothering me, I thought she would go back and do another album with No Doubt.

Oh Lord, another one? *headdesk*

I find it highly unlikley there'll ever be another No Doubt record. And if there was I expect it'd be crap.

nah, it'll make her worse. Pump out as many remixes of the exact same song til theres nothing ceven interesting about it.

I suppose she's follow the "You know you're not popular when the 12 year old girls are dressing like someone else."

Oh, dear, just go back to freaking No Doubt.

Hollaback Girl was on the radio when I was scanning for stations, and the "This &%#* is bananas" part came on. My mum's like, "0.0 What's the point of this song?"

Also, her "Rich Girl" annoyed me because she stole it. 0.0

I saw her on Ellen (love that show) a few weeks back saying that she still had a lot of songs she wanted to do, and that she could make another CD with them.

I guess I'm kinda iffy on her- I don't hate her, but I don't love her either.

I don't even consider "Holla Back Girl" a song. It's a jumbled up mess of words and nonsensical blabber. I now use that banana phrase (the one that Googles posted) as a way to severely tick off people that bother me. Repeat it over and over again, and viola, anyone within 10 feet will run. Her other song "Rich Girl" wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. But if she stole it, as was mentioned, then she doesn't deserved the credit. She made the biggest mistake of ditching her band. No doubt was actully good this stuff is just... pointless.

Well, she didn't exactly steal it.

I remember about two years ago, there was the exact song on Z100. The lyrics were exactly the same, except the singers were two Jamaican women.

I'm not sure if I'm crazy because I can't find any proof of that song, even though I heard it about 5 times that summer.

And, of course, the other one that I have proof for is "Rich Man". 0.0

Oh you're over-exaggerating.

She didn't steal it, this was the chorus for "If I was a Rich Man" by Fiddler on the Roof,

Quote:
If I were a rich man,
Ya ha deedle deedle, didle didle deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy man.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, didle didle deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.

And her's was,

Quote:
If I was a rich girl (na na na na)x2
See I'd have all the money in the world,
If I was wealthy girl,
No man can test me,
Impress me,
My cash flow would never ever end,
Cause I'd have all the money in the world,
If I was a wealthy girl

Notice the extreme differences? And the songs aren't even alike. The tune may be the same but she added other lyrics, words, etc... to the song.

You're making it sound as if she took that exact song and re-sang it. Which she didn't.

You know, I've never even actually heard "Holla Back Girl" of whatever that's called. Yes, I'm lucky.
I really miss the GOOD old days of No Doubt. Now that Gwen's gone off solo and making songs that just don't sounds like what I used to assosiate her with it, you can tell they are never coming back. Oh well.
It's "musical artists" like Gwen that are the reason I don't listen to the radio. ;)

Ammer, she's not a good singer and her last single was a pile of pants.

Feel free to prove me wrong and give me one GOOD thing about Hollaback Girl.

Go.

I never said anything about Gwen's talent. I wasn't even talking about "Hollaback Girl". I was simply correcting o_0 because he thinks that she copied the entire song from "If I was a Rich Man", which as you can see, she didn't.

I like "Hollaback Girl", it's a up-beat song, if you don't like it, you don't like it.

Well, of course she didn't 'steal it' as she paid for the rights, but it is a rip off of another existing song, yes.

Hollaback Girl isn't a song. Discuss. ;)
