Eithne immediately stood, glad that the pain in her head had subsided.

"I agree. I'm willing to work with you.""

Callet frowned as she thought about everything that had happened. Turning back to face the 'leader' of their little group she nodded slowly, "I'll work with you sure. But I don't think we're from the future. After all, these are ruins and that means that we'd be from the past. Because I don't recall any history books saying anything about Zanarkand being built on ruins."

Callet carefully walked around the perimeter of the rock they were on, surveying the ruins and taking a few looks at the airship flying towards them. Turning back to face the group she gestured towards the airship, "Well I for one have no idea how we got here, but if you ask me it'd be a good idea to ask anyone on that airship what the year is. We could all just say that we were in an accident, and don't remember what happened."

"I disagree." intoned Eithne. "We have no idea how this world works. We have no idea how they'd react. I think we should study them first, find out how things work here."

Jon nodded. "That attitude would probably get us locked up. But don't worry, as it's my lucky day today! I don't think anything bad will happen." Jon smiled around at the group.

((I meant past, not future. :P I messed up OOC. Oh, and its a watership, not an airship.))

Fredrick pondered over the ideas, but he was out of time. The watership had stopped at the remains of a dock and people in jumpsuits armed with guns poured out. "Well, whatever happens to us, its better than sitting in ruins for a lifetime," he smiled slightly.

Five men armed with interesting guns came forward, stepping onto the same rock they were on. "Fru yna oui?! Frana yna oui vnus?!" one of them shouted. None of the five Zanarkand survivors understood the languuage. They didn't even know it was called Al Bhed. Suddenly, one of the strangers pointed to Callet. "Cra ec uha uv ic. Dyga ran ihtan talg," he said in a deeper tone than the rest. Two of the people in jumpsuits came forward, making their masked faces more visible in the gloomy fog. They advanced on Callet. Jon ran, his sword raised, but was shot by a small bolt of lightning from one of their guns. He fell to the ground, dazed from the shock.

The three who were not near Callet cocked their guns. "Don't bother resisting them. Those guns have higher settings," Fredrick sighed as he raised his hands. The two masked men escorted Callet away, but the three others stayed, their guns aimed at the remaining three that were still standing. The other two masked strangers came, and one of them gestured for the other four survivors to follow him. The other four Al Bhed parted to let them through, but kept their guns aimed. Fredrick passed through, and followed their leader towards the watership. "This is where I'm going, stay if you like," Fredrick said as if to himself.

He allowed himself to be led to the flat deck of the ship, where one of the Al Bhed gestured to a side of deck that had an empty shed. Fredrick entered it and sat down on the hard metal floor. By the looks of it, there was one way below deck in the center of the odd ship. He hoped he was being taken to a place where he would be set free, and he hoped his fellow survivors would fare well, especially Callet, who had been taken below deck.

Callet looked at all the strange people, she could barely see why they wanted her of all people. They all wore unusual outfits, tight suits of bright colours, and their faces were covered by masks and goggles. "What do you want?" She asked to all of them, "Why have you brought me here?"

[Under Deck]
One of the men took off his mask, revealing a hardy middle-aged face to Callet. "You look like my daughter, who I lost last week. I guess you don't understand Al Bhed, but you sure look like one of us. Sorry about the misunderstanding," he said in words she could understand. One of the strange men handed Callet a large tray with food and water on it. The middle-aged man gestured to the exit to the top deck, "The others are up there. Give them the food and tell them we're taking them to Bevelle. We'll talk when we get there."

[Above Deck]
Fredick watched silently as the other three survivors filed onto the deck. He sat in the shack and simply waited, wondering where he was headed now. He had just seen his whole home city destroyed, and now he was in the future, with no idea what this world had for him now.

Eithne entered the shed silently. She took a seat across from Fredrick, leaning backwards against the wall behind her. She kept her face raised, grey eyes meeting his with a questioning look.

Callet stared at the man, he had a slightly resemblence to her father, how strange. "I'm sorry about your daughter. I know what its like to lose someone you love. My mother died when I was young, and my father died in an accident... recently."

She carefully stood up, grasping the tray of food in one hand and using the other to steady herself against the rocking of the watership. She carefully walked up the stairs, emerging in the shack where the others were waiting. She set the plate down on a crate and sat on the floor. "The man says I remind him of his daughter who died recently and because of the resemblence he thought I was an... what did he call it?... Al Bhed?" Callet's face scrunched up in thought, "Well, it was something like that. I have no idea what I means though. He then gave me this food to give to you all, and said that he's taking us to Bevelle. No idea where that is either.... but hopefully we can find out what's going on when we get there."

((Callet will probably eventually learn Al Bhed, if that's okay with you lionheartwitty...))

((Don't see why not. :D ))

Fredrick looked back at Eithne's eyes and merely said, "I do not know... yet."

"Bevelle..." Fredrick mused after Callet entered. He seemed to be thinking about something. "We're heading to the South rim of the continent. If its the same Bevelle I remember, then in the future we might be in now, it grew, protected by mountains on its North side from the attack and any after affects." He suddenly fell silent, though he pulled a sratch pad out and started drawing the great beast that had destroyed Zanarkand. He was interupted by an armed Al Bhed, who only communicated in grunts and gestures, apparently wanting the man in gray to follow. He followed, sharing no more words with the two girls, down under deck, where the eldest of the Al Bhed was unmasked.

"Tell me what were you doing in Zanarkand with these people," the middle-aged man said in the common language, in an authorative tone. "What if I told you I haven't the faintest idea how I even got there?" Fredrick asked, toying with his answer. "How about you ask the questions?" the Al Bhed proposed. "When was Zanarkand destroyed?" Fredrick asked. "A thousand years ago," came the answer.

"What do you think we were doing the ruins?"
"Probably on a pilgramige with a summoner to destroy Sin temporarily."
"And what is Sin?"
"The monster that has been around since Zanarkand was destroyed."
"Back to why we were in the ruins, minus one summoner."
"I assume the summoner you were with was killed by Sin, yet you five survived."
"Than why don't I remember anything?"
"Because the monster played with your memory."

Fredrick grinned a little. "I see. Does it do that to everyone?" "Yes," the elder solemnly replied. "You never considered Sin could wash five strangers in from a thousand years in the past?" Fredrick nonchalantly asked. "That is impossible," the Al Bhed disagreed. Fredrick turned towards the exit. "I see." He then walked back up to the deck.

Callet watched the man lead Fredrick down below deck, the leader probably wanted to question him about what they were doing in Zanarkand.

Callet waited for what seemed like hours (but was only a few minutes) until she heard Fredrick climbing the stairs to re-emerge back in the shed. The man who had lead him down was nowhere to be seen. She leaped up, "What'd he want? And what'd he say? And have you found out when we are?" She bounced impatiently on the balls of her feet waiting for his reply.

Before Fredrick could reply another masked Al Bhed climbed the stairs to emerge on deck. He held a strange electronic device in his hand and shoved it into Callet's hand, talking quickly in Al Bhed, "Rana. Dyga. Dra maytan fyhdc oui du maynh drec."

Callet stared at the device in question, noticing it had strange symbols on the screen and a thin slot for inserting something. The man then handed her a small thin disk, "Drec ec y Bnesan. Fa uhmo ryja uha, oui femm haat du veht dra udranc." She took the disk, raising an eyebrow in question, but before she could ask what he meant, the man went back down the stairs below deck. Deciding to 'experiment' a little, she carefully inserted the disk into the slot in the device.

A soft chime sounded and the screen lit up. One of the symbols, in the second row, changed to include the letter 'a' next to it. Callet grinned, "I get it now. It must be some sort of translator. Obviously they only have one of the disks, so I guess we'll have to look around when we reach Bevelle." She then pressed her forefinger to the translated symbol, a 'y' sounded from the speakers. "I guess, 'a' is said as 'y' then. Anyways, where were we before I was interrupted?"

((Hope that's okay. I kinda made up what the translator looked like and did, seeing as you never actually saw them in the game. This is also a great oppurtunity to use my Al Bhed translator, which I rarely need to use. :P ))

((I lost my translator, but I know the language. *is a geek*))

Fredrick looked around at the company he had met at the ruins. "We should make Bevelle by dawn at this rate. I suggest everyone tries to get some rest. I'm venturing into Bevelle and whoever follows me follows me. There is nothing wrong with us going our seperate ways, but we should find a means of contacting each other should some thing particularly unusual happen, or some one gets some vital information. For example, I just learned that the people of this world call the monster who detroyed Zanarkand a thousand years ago is called 'Sin.' This means we are a thousand years in the future," he said, answering Callet and sharing what he had gained from below deck. He also added, "People might think we're crazy if we say we're from the past," before sitting in an uncomfortable corner for the night.

(This looks awesome. Even though I've never played FFX, I would like very much to join. I haven't roleplayed in a while. I think I'm a little rusty. I won't post my character's bio or anything until you tell me it's okay if you don't mind. Thanks.)

(Just play a clueless character from a totally different time period in this world. Feel free to get imaginative and introduce yourself whenever and however you like. And as for the inactive people of this RP, they will slip out of In Character existance until they feel like posting. Sheesh, and I'm accused of inactivity. )

Bevelle was a larger city a thousand years in the future, but not as much as Fredrick expected. He seperated from the group of the Zanarkand survivors and blended in with the crowd, surprisingly. Fredrick was secretly grinning to himself. Almost everyone in the city shared his nearly Spanish features. Dark hair, fair skin, average height. Some even wore bland leather clothing in an alike mysterious fashion to his own. Fredrick sought out a quiet cafe in the dimmer places of the moderately large victorian-like city. He was hoping to start whatever his mind was scheming there. Sure enough, he found what he was looking for, and entered a quiet cafe.

(Meet me there if you like, Ryoko. Maybe the other RPers will wake up with Fredrick away from their chars. Remember that you're clueless and from another era. I'd prefer you weren't a normal human, too. I guess another girl char won't hurt, either.)
