They don't mention it in the news, but you can now choose from one of foursides in the war pirate warriors, maraquan warriors(these sides do the actual fighting), pirate supporters and maraquan supporters(these sides donate items, play games, and do other nonbattle stuff)go pirate supporters

Hm, they said action was going to start with part 15 of the plot

I hoped the war was starting, but apparently we'll have to wait till tuesday at least.

After todays plot I feel much better about choosing the pirates side. With such an arrogant king they deserve to be destroyed a second time, really

All things considered I think it's good that they didn't start the war over the weekend, given what happened last time they tried that. It seems like maybe they've learned their lessons about starting major events on Friday evening and then going home for the weekend.

Although, I'd actually have TIME to battle this weekend, which I won't really early next week.
