If you've already voted, what are your reactions to the vote? How it's set up, which pets were given as options, which pet you think will win vs. which pet you'd rather have win, the selection of some of the non-candidates as petpets. . . .

Prior discussion of the (then-future) voting on April Fools' pets was here, pages ago & nearly a month ago.



Editing to add my own thoughts.

Between when we found out we would be voting, and when we got the "ballot," I managed to narrow down my list to five that I really wanted and thought/hoped might have a chance (to do so, I eliminated those that, like the Adaller, were clearly alternate versions of pets we already got). In alphabetical order they were the Furzurt, Nikondrak, Polaflint, Sharkaw, and Slymook.




Four of my five made the ballot, and the other was immediately made a petpet (which I will own), so I felt pretty good about that.

OTOH, I'm baffled as to why the Flanzoo made the cut, except as the inevitable joke candidate.

I wish we were able to vote for our favorite three, or favorite five, or some-such. And I hope that TNT takes more than just the single top vote getter. Several of these deserve pet status.

My wife and I were each torn between #5/the Nikondrak (unbelievably cool) and #9/the Sharkaw (also cool, and seemingly more likely to be a pet) -- so I voted for one, she for the other. Our daughter, 13, independently went for #9.

And while unlike many -- including the first several responders here, I see -- I personally get nothing from #17/the Lamameeah (well, two thoughts, actually: The Emperor's New Groove and petpet), I have no real objection to it as a pet . . . as long as it isn't the only one to become a pet.

I would like to ditto the current llama sentiments.

I too voted for the llama. On the neoboards I've been hearing a lot of votes for #9. I don't much like #9 myself but I'd take it over some of the other popular ones (10 , 5, 2, 7, 16...)

I hope something other than that llama wins. It's so boring, drab, and unexciting compared to some of the other pets there. Plus, everyone just likes it because there's this llama fad going on. I'd like either the Polaflint or the Spider thing to win. Both are interesting creatures, and I think the Polaflint would go in excellently with the current art/style of pets.

To be honest, I'm not very fond of how the llama pet is drawn. However, it's just the concept of it that I prefer over the other pets- some are too similar to ones we have now, some are too cutesy, and some are just silly.

I voted for #7, the Polaflint. I'm guessing the llama will win which I am not a fan of, I find it kinda boring :/ A polaflint pet would be awesome but seeing as I have no space left for one I won't mind too much if the llama wins as long as it gets some good redraws. I much prefer the llama to the sharkaw anyway as it is extremely similar to the tyrannian kougra and yet another feline pet.

I that pet. I just think it's so adorable and different from any pet they have now. It really sets apart from the others.

Others I really liked were:

This pet would have been my second choice, even though it is Ona-esque.

This is another cute and different pet.

This pet kind of looks like an usul, but cooler.

You don't find that to be almost exactly like the Kougra? Even moreso like the Tyrannian Kougra?

Anyway, I voted for the Polaflint, because I didn't like any of the pets (except the Llama, but I don't see it as a Neopet... it's just freakin awesome) and I know someone on this board really wanted a Polaflint...

I voted 9, and I know we have enough cat neopets,but I want a TOUGH neopet for once! <_<



Plus it looks like a long tailed Lynx. You can't deny Lynxs are wicked.

I bet the Llma will win and I'm not too happy about it. I thought it was kinda dull. Plus, it lacks the cool hoofs...it's got stumps like a Poogle.
