If I could find someone with the images saved from 2003 I'd show it, but the last person to has deleted them.

Imagine Illusen in a more skimpy red outfit with white fluff trim than that she has.

Space faerie, she's beautiful but not in modern day skanky definition of beautiful. I love her hair. And her outfit is "far out" (get it? :P)
I also like Jhudora, but only in some pics. Lots try to be too dark and menacing and just turn out scary (the bad kind of scary). The "oh yeah" avatar is awesome.

Edit: This picture just bothers me, tis going a little too far:

I think the Earth Faerie picture above has wonderful art, but it is a bit much. Usually TNT has nice art, but I think they all need some anatomy lessons.

Actually, pretty funny story about that picture. My friend really loves Earth Faeries, so he drew that picture up there and it came out pretty much exactly like the original. (Only in black and white.) He showed it to his art teacher and she said it was way out of porpotion. She kept going on about how the waist was too small and she was way too busty and that her back would break if she ever tried to stand. :P

My vote is for the exotic Space Faerie...red eyes, blue hair, and a great tan! Plus she made the cover of Neopets' magazine ;)

I love the Space Faerie! She a good combo of Tomboy and Femininity. Being more comfortable myself in blue jeans & playing with critters (6, 4 or no legged versions!) but having long hair & eye make-up I kind of relate to her! (My hero....) :)

Fyora would win, of course, with Psellia coming in second.

(I'd tell you my neopets username so you could see how much I'm obessed with Fyora, but...)

Oooohhhh!!! ANOTHER purple powerful faerie!! I LOVE this pic!! I didn't realize how much I am drawn to the powerful &/or purple Faeries..... Hmmm.... now I don't know WHO I like the best...... I guess it depends on my day ... bad hair day (gives evil eye to husband & kids)= Jhudora, Good Nights Sleep (loves everyone, is happy & protective) = Fyora, All around Average day (girls just wanna have fun & kick your b**t in the battledome) = Space Faerie!! (walks away humming Cindy Lauper) :P

Good call.

I really think the site should be placing more emphasis on already irrealistic and unhealthy body impressions for pre-teens. Nothing says 'I am a better person" quite like settling competitions through a competition based purely on physical ideals. Now that the fire faerie is slightly less anorexic and already being referred to as "the Kirstie Allie Faerie" because she is currently the only mildly respectable (and I do put a heavy emphasis on the mildly) actress who is unable to use a piece of licorice as a belt, we propably don't want to start heading back in that direction. In fact, I have no problem with them being skinny and waiflike. That's fairies. That's what they are. My problem is when they start getting skanked up. Its not a direction we should be pushing kids into. They're finding their way there just fine on their own, thank you very much. Its like those crappy little Bratz. Those things aren't cool. Its like," hey, I think we have enough positive role models in the girls toy aisle. Let's see, we have Lawyer Barbie, Doctor Barbie, First Black Femal President Barbie, Findinag a Cure For Cancer Barbie, and, what's this? Street Corner Barbie (Pimp Daddy Ken sold seperately)." Its like mini skank trainers. What happened to the good old days! I got my run of the mill Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (back when they still liked pizza, saiid cowabunga and had pupils) and I was good. And they were worried about THAT being a bad influence!!!! Even the clothing! Back in my day in kindergarten the most controvertial thing a girl would be wearing was leg warmers over her tights with an unhealthy amount of fluorescent colours with her 8 year old sister's New Kids on the Block t-shirt and a side pony tail. Now, its leg warmers... and that's it. Its like these little 5 year old Britney's and X-Tina's running around on the playground catching thier death of cold while MTV as rotted out any sense of percception and they're just waiting for hormones to kick in so they can firmly lose any sense of self worth and promptly be taken advantage of by the first pimply faced, immoral, manipulative jerk to tell her she's got a nice tail and that her shirt looks nice but would look even nicer on his bedroom floor. Meanwhile the parents are standing by, either oblivious, apathetic or helpless while the teachers and the occasional good kid stands back and shakes their head because they know that there's nothing they can do and that they are in the minority of human beings in our society that actually have the presence of mind to form their own opinion and there is absolutely buttkiss they can do about it!

That being said, I think the Water Faerie would win. She's totally hot.

(blink)

Maybe the parents should do a better job of raising kids who aren't easily brainwashed instead...

Besides, never said that the cutest fairy had to win. It might be a nice ego boost (and rather clever plot line) to have... I ono... King Skarrl win one of the competitions.

EDIT: Oh, and the wars and plots should be discontinued also... they promote violence. And the McDonald's shop should be discontinuted because it promotes unhealthy living. And all the promos need to be taken down... they promote selling out to big business. Honestly... if a kid is getting their life lessons from a website, they need to get out in the sun and play a little. If not... let's just blame the mass media... god forbid we actually take responsibility for our own youth.

As for Barbies... and the clothes... gee, who buys them?

The parents.

Don't blame Mattel for making Barbies... that's like blaming fire for a burn injury. Blame the parent who took the kid into the toy store and didn't explain that maybe... JUST maybe... the overpriced piece of plastic wasn't an actual ideal.

And don't blame pop stars... as easy (and fun) as they are to bash. Granted, we may not agree with their images and their portrayls of life, but ultimately it's up to the parent whether the television is turned to MTV, isn't it?

Yes, let's blame the media and toy companies and everyone else for our kids' problems.

Because as long as there's someone else to blame, it's never our fault.

Good call.

On a lighter note:

'sides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no? Why not have a vote off, not only with pictures, but also stats, interests, what they do for Neopia, etc.

To defend TNT... it's just a picture guys. Granted, it's a little out of proportion, but the body is just as much part of the human (er... faerie) as is the mind and spirit. Perhaps the idea of the Earth Faerie being fertile came into play?

Granted, I can see everyone's arguments... but I'd only agree if every single female character were like that. Look at the Soup Faerie, and the Space Faerie, etc. They're all normally-contoured. As for the clothing... she's a faerie, guys. Tinkerbell had a short skirt, why can't she?

I say keep up the good work, NT.

EDIT: Btw, I apologize sincerely if I'm offending anyone with my comments... I just thought both sides of the argument should be represented. If the Mod deems my comment inappropriate, please do delete it (as if I had a say in whether you did or not anyway lol)
