Have they changed the way you search in your SDB? coz i'm sure you used to be able to use % as a wild card, but its not working anymore.

I was trying to search for any plushies i had in there and typed "%plushie%" and it returned with:

Quote:
You can't find anything like '%plushie%' in your Safety Deposit Box
Please make sure that you have entered the name of the item you are searching for.

Anyone know when this changed? or am i just searching wrong?

EDIT: it works for "elixir" and "toy" but if i type "plushie" it says i need to be more specific, whats going on??

I've never used the % as a wildcard. Normally I just type part of the name and it comes up. For example for bri codestone I just type "code" (no quote marks though) and it pulls up every codestone I have. Or if I'm looking for a specific color I type that color (red, blue green etc...) and it pulls up every item I have that is of that specified color. Sorry - no clue as to your question!! o_O

Not that I can tell, it still works fine for me.

just try not to use any wildcard characters and you should be fine :)

I've had the problem a few times where it says a word is not specific enough. "Blue" comes to mind, even though I don't think I have a lot of blue items in my SDB. "Plushie" is also like that for me, so I'm not sure if there's a secret list or it actually checks what's in your SDB and, if too many items are returned, tells you to be more specific.

Once I was searching for a codestone and I typed in its name ("lu", "eo" etc, I can't remember). It said I needed to be more specific. Probably if there are too many items which fit your search requirements, they will tell you that.

I used to search ' ', because then it bringed up most of the items that had a space in so i could remove more items in same time. sad they disabled it...

Searching for Lu won't work as you need to enter at leat 3 letters.

You should just have to type in part of it anyway... when I type in "aspara" in my SDB search box, it comes up with everything that has those letters in it - even "Clockwork Asparagus Chia"...
And "ome" comes up with everything from omelettes to gnomes to a homemade buggy.

Edit: Although when I typed in Blue, it did say be more specific, instead of coming up with Blue Bouncy Ball.

I think there's certain words you can't search for, because I had about 25 blue items and couldn't search because it was too vague, and when I took them all out, it still tells me to be more specific. No problem searching red, yellow, or green though.
